Katya's talk about Kennedy is very much needed, as there still is unfortunately a lot of hate towards her and Jasmine.
Jasmine came across bitter and I found her soooo annoying the moment she came in shouting and in those shit outfits, kennedy's voice and they way she speaks is just soooo long takes hours for her to finish once sentence

+Sophie Turner You can't judge real people based on what you see on tv. They did not deserve the hate they got, especially the racist comments and death threats. If you watched Jasmine's hey qween you'd realize she actually was suicidal after drag race because of how awful people were to her.

Her comments on Kennedy and the lip synch is really one of the reason I respect Katya so much. And is one of the reasons why i think she is one of the classiest and best contestants in the shows herstory.

Katya used to work at a Drag store in Boston called Dorothy's she sold me my first pair of heels for Halloween
so lucky you got to meet her... she seems such a wonderful and insightful person... unfortunately the people at that studio seem to be pretty dim and not able to appreciate her!

katya is SO good at mixing seriousness with comedy. the most entertaining queen in my opinion
I've always admired Katya, but this has made me respect her so much more. Her commentary on Ginger and Kennedy especially are 100% on point true. My theory on why drag race fans want "nice" queens is that many of them are young, not like early 20's young, but like 14, 15, 16 young. They've never been to gay bars, they've probably only seen drag performances on RUclips. They've never met drag queens, they've never experienced real life drag at its finest. Anyways, props to Katya, she's so amazing.

Katya is a genius plain and simple. She can make cogent thoughtful points and still have fun and be ironic and silly.

I am absolutely here for one of the most loved queens calling out the bullshit of these awful drag race fans. Everything she said in regards to Kennedy were so true. It's disgusting that these young gays feel so comfortable to be that hateful behind the Internet screen. Do you see why black viewers go so hard for black queens? This is why it's so major that 3 of the top 4 of this season are black queens. Representation.

The community has come far, but needs to go further. Being demoralized and dehumanized is dangerous in the hands of weak-minded individuals, because they will take that pain and transfer it to others.

I love Kennedy on rpdr, i thought she was hilarious i was surprised that everyone went off on her but at the same time not too surprised bc its the internet and the internet loves to hate. I just hope ChiChi doesnt get the same hate for sending Thorgy home especially bc (even tho i love Thorgy) her lipsync was absoloutley nothing in comparison to ChiChi's.

I think Derrick is getting that hate not ChiChi, which is still sad. Regardless of who the target is, that irrational "burn the witch" attitude is insane. Katya is right. They're not murder suspects.

(spoilers for episode 8). There are three black drag queens in the top 4 and 0 white ones. Naomi has slayed the last couple of episodes and won everyone over, and Bob is aboard whatever boat Bianca was sailing on in Season 6. To say black drag queens have to be three times better to be seen as "okay" is an argument that makes no sense to me. Exaggerations like these are only doing favors to the vocal minority that spews racism on twitter because you're saying their behavior affects the way the general public views talent. It doesn't. Those few idiots are few and they're idiots.
+Thing Thang god you're stupid, obviously you didn't understand a think they said, and it is true that queens of color have to work three times harder to measure up with white queens, Miss Fame makeup is fabulous and outfits are amazing but that's it, she can't lip sync for shit, acting sucks ass, and she doesn't even make her own costumes yet she gets tons of praise and recognition. But then we have queens like Linashya Sparks and JDF who makeup are gorgeous, outfits on point, sew most of their outfits, are amazing performers and lip syncers yet they get labeled as "filler queens" and pushed to the side. And this is literally the first top 4 filled with all POC since 3, other than that the top 4 has been predominately white, so you can stfu and take several seats

Miss Fame did not get flack for not being versatile? Fame Vs. Pearl is considered one of the worst lip syncs that wasn't a double elimination. People were over Fame and completely disappointed when Season 7 aired. Now they praise her because she sticks to one thing she does well. They praise her make-up skills and there's nothing unfair about that. Lineysha left early because she did a horrible snatch game. JDF had a bad outfit on a runway challenge after being twice in the bottom 2. What injustice are you talking about? How do they have to work harder? You can say that the casting is uneven but we're talking about fan reaction here. Three times as harder? No. I refuse to have a vocal minority that loves the N-word define an entire fan base.
The fact that they have to deal with racism is horrible but saying that the general public is discriminating against them is basically you just giving the vocal minority power by suggesting that their opinion applies to a much larger number of people. It doesn't. Just look away from the crazy ones and don't give them the attention they crave.

Katya is the most clever of all the rpdr girls, not so much in terms of commercial acumen and selling herself but in terms of understanding how life works. She’s aware all this is just a production for money and knows what’s what. Specially when she speaks about the fan base and how the fans are taking everything literally. I just adore her
