Our No-Heat Curl video series {see them all here... • No-Heat Curls | Cute G... } is very popular, and it's about time that we posted another no-heat tutorial!
This one uses nothing but a few bandanas/handkerchiefs, a few rubber bands, and a water spray bottle. This technique gives you more of a wave than a full curl, and it dries fairly well because the bandanas breathe by allowing moisture to evaporate as you sleep.
You can use these curls/waves as is, or you can incorporate them as a base for any number of hairstyle combos. In this tutorial, Brooklyn simply added a simple headband as an accessory.
This is so easy, we know you all can do this! Enjoy!
Items Needed: Brush, spray bottle, 3-5 small hair elastics, hairspray and accessory {if desired}.
Time Requirement: 5 minutes

I love having clean hair and at night putting it in a heatless curl pattern, it’s so relaxing.
I've done no heat curls but instead of using the whole section of hair with one bandana I seperate the section in 2 and wrap the right strand on the right side of the bandana and the left side on the left side of the bandana! If that makes sense! Haha they make perfect ringlets!:)

You simply wrap your hair around the bananas and leave them like that overnight. It's so easy to do, and your hair will smell like bananas afterwards!

You can use pretty much any material.I like old pillow cases,cut em up.Old tee shirts.You can always find something around the house to use,no need to go out and buy anything. ^-^

I think it would come out a little different. Because braiding with three strands of your own hair should have a different curl pattern to one strand hair and two strands bandana.
no its the same, i always do it over night after i towel dried my hair, no bandannas needed
I've done both but I used tights instead of a bandana. So one strand tights two strands hair, and I got a completely different curl than three strands of hair,

Curl rule #1: don't touch them or rake them or shake them or comb them. That = frizz. I think the waves looked way better right after you took the bandanas out and before you messed with them.
She can do what ever she wants the hairstyle doesn't have to be perfect she's just showing you a quick and easy hairstyle

The bandana incorporated into the hair is a really neat idea. I was wondering how different this is compared to just doing 4 braids without the bandana? I remember doing that as a child and I had the wavy hair like her :) just curious to know why you use them versus just braiding them alone :) Love your videos though! Very helpful with coming up ideas for my 8 year old daughter when she goes to school!:)

Love watching/ trying your tutorials on my 3 daughters. Question, my girls have EXTREMELY wispy short tiny fly aways all around their face and high hairline. I cant get the diagonal braids to look normal because i end up starting so far back. Any ideas or tricks how to make the braids look good?
