    I never heard an engine complain about getting it’s oil changed at 10-12K miles. I think it’s smart and worth every penny and will pay off big-time in the long run. Great video Chris.

      Thank you. And yes I agree I start noticing a lot of oil degradation right around 11k miles.

    At 5+$ a gallon the Comfort Pro will pay for itself quicker.... also if alternator ever stops..... you can fire up Apu and stay cool as well as charge batteries and keep revenue coming in until you can replace Alternator

      I sit there and watch them the whole time. I’ve had a couple say I can’t but I just tell them I’m paying for a service so I’m going to watch every step and they don’t say anything else.

    On newer trucks if you go by the OEM recommend intervals on oil changes it’s 50K. I run oil analyst on every change. I was changing every 35K, oil analyst kept coming back clean, so I’m stretching out to 45K this time.

      Yea I would possibly do it if I had a bypass filter installed. But with the soot build up that occurs and the break down of the oil that take place starting around the 10-12k mark I just don’t Trust it.

    Why don't you put a green apu on that truck?
    Like I said, find your niche in the market, looks like it's working from what I see. Love your content.

    • @DosGringosRanch
      @DosGringosRanch  2 года назад +1

      Cause I don’t want to spend more on an apu than the trucks worth. 😂

  • @gregprince2523
    @gregprince2523 2 года назад +2

    Loved my comfort pro apu.....
    An owner operator will take care of it and reap the benefits..... Company driver will not............. That little kubota diesel is indestructible if you change oil and air filters.... both fuel filters.... Add a little motorkote, and use Schaeffer's oil???
    pay for itself in 18 months....

    • @DosGringosRanch
      @DosGringosRanch  2 года назад

      Yea when I get another truck I plan on putting a APU on it. Just can’t justify spending more on an APU than the truck is worth. 😂

    Defer the max into your 401k while the goose keeps laying golden eggs

    • @DosGringosRanch
      @DosGringosRanch  2 года назад

      I closed all my 401k’s. I have multiple investments that I manage. Everything from high risk that keeps me busy managing that to low risk and a few dividend portfolios, and also buy and sell call/put option contracts and do a little short selling.

    SuperTruckerDan goes 12-14k mileage oil changes on an older truck

    • @DosGringosRanch
      @DosGringosRanch  2 года назад

      I ended up right at 13k. Normally I start seeing oil degradation right around the 10k mark that generally when I have to start adding oil every other day or so. From 0 to 10k I won’t have to add a drop of oil.

    Why didn't you have Eastern Ohio PM your rig when you got your 2 tires the other day?........

    Do you get loads on your way home, or do you dead head home?

    • @DosGringosRanch
      @DosGringosRanch  2 года назад +1

      I get loads that get me as close as I can to the house but also not afraid to deadhead if the rates are junk.
