We didn’t know how good we had it in the days before copyright strikes and lawsuits ruined everything. When you could license a song for a TV show and it could run in syndication for years. Now that same show will have to replace the song on DVD with a generic cover. I’m surprised Marvel just didn’t replace ROM with a generic robot guy in this issue to reprint it.
@@robert2430 “Replace him with a generic robot guy…”. That is a great idea. Push it into a phenomenal idea by making no attempt to match the original artist’s style. Or have a kid do it, even better, a little kindergarten kid. With crayons.
This was the period when The Hulk had his intelligence(even before Professor Hulk period) The corner icon over the months would show The Hulk become more crazed and disheveled, as he lost control.🤔
This run of Hulk, particularly this period of 286-300 , are my earliest Hulk comic memories. Revisit this period more than any other besides the Byrne/Milgrom one.
I don't believe that you intentionally forgot the Hulk/Avengers team-up just before #286. That has it all - Hulk and She-Hulk, Leader's pink men and a classic Al Milgrom cover to boot.
@ I read those issues later. It’s possible I saw them at the time and just don’t remember. Hulk was my older brother’s favorite so it was the only comic we had an extensive run of before we reached the age to buy them ourselves.
@@SonofCapwolf According to google, “Fanny” has been slang for “vagina or vulva “ in England since the 1830s. OK, that’s obviously the opposite side. But consider this: Is it a** or c**t? She’s so fat we can’t tell the back from the front!

That's what IDW did.

I have that one! I love Bill Sonofabitch tho.
Even this cover of Rom mooning the reader?
@SonofCapwolf this one not so much. I always thought it was weird too.
After Brandy got her armor, Rom just wanted to remind everybody that he still has the sweetest poly-carbonate steel ass around, hence the cover.
"Bite my shiny metal ass"?
@@SonofCapwolf The word of the day is "Fanny." Fanny.
@@markshulusky6680 Ho ho, it means something different over here!

Look at that pose! What is Rom doing?
(probably a baseball pitcher photo as reference-thats close to the pose you finish in after pitching a baseball)
The Rom vids may eclipse your Atlantis Attacks vids as the zenith of the craft.
A better version of me would find an Eclipso pun in there somewhere ;-(
