    Manu, you're saying so many times that you're sorry that it's so complicated, but your lessons are like a spring water, you gotta stop apologyizing for being a great teacher! :)) Thank you so much, hope you are going to finish successfully your program for learning Italian so finally we all would be able to pay you back!

    Hi Manu! Around the 17.35 mark you apologized for the video getting too long in case it was boring us. Please never apologize for this. If people are truly interested in learning the language, this content will NEVER be boring. Keep up the FANTASTIC work you are doing! I hope to one day follow in your footsteps and teach both of my native languages which are Spanish and English. I was blessed to have learned them at the same time from birth because I was born in NY. Love ya!

      We like not to say something more than one time. You will find, sometimes, entire dialogues that the subject is said only once at the beginnig and not said agan. In talian we call it soggetto sottointeso. We know it, our verbs agrees with it, so we do not repeat

    This is a very helpful video! I have two questions:
    1. In the examples where "ci" means "there", can you use "lì" instead of "ci"?
    2. Is "ci mette" (it takes) the same as "ci vuole"?
    Grazie mille!

    • @italymadeeasy
      @italymadeeasy  8 лет назад +3

      Ciao!
      1. Not really. LÌ goes at the end of the sentence, and always after the verb. CI can only (and must) go before the verb!
      See it as LÌ (or LÀ) meaning "over there", rather than just "there"
      2. Yes, exactly!

      Regarding the second question, I'm not sure how you construct the phrases. Is it "ci metto due ore" or "ci mettono due ore"? And "ci volgio due ore" or "ci vogliono due ore"? I guess I'm not sure if I am the subject or the phrases are impersonal and the hours are the subject, as it were. Thanks so much for your great videos!

    It's so strange that 'remember' is reflexive in some languages. The French say 'Je me souvienne' - 'I self-remember'. So do the Germans: 'Ich erinnere mich' - 'I remember-self'. I didn't know the Italians use reflexive 'remember' as well :)) Quite a discovery :)))

      Ciao Douglas! Sono molto contento che questo video ti sia stato d'aiuto! E sì, NE è un'altra particella un po' difficile! Se puoi vai sul mio sito e registra la tua domanda (per questa serie uso solo domande registrate con la voce degli studenti!).
      "Andarsene", "Fregarsene" ... ci sono tantissimi verbi che usano NE. E poi c'è il NE che significa "of it" / "of them", usato come pronome diretto, ma per le quantità...
