You can get flights for under £60 easy. Tickets vary massively but anywhere between £25-£60

He went on an away day there a few years back and loved his experience. Im proud of the portistas that met him, treated him like he was a life long fan
$250 to go from England to Portugal, with everything included (ticket, hotel, travel)… Just insane. In America, if I wanted to go from where I live in Cincinnati, Ohio and wanted to drive to Chicago, Illinois, which is only 4 hours away, to see a baseball game which is the CHEAPEST sport here, it is $500+ minimum. Gas is near $100 for that trip, Hotel is $300+ a night, and tickets to the game are about $50+ each for decent seats at Wrigley Field. I cannot believe the amazing access Europe has to everything. Hell, around the time this was filled my friends and I went to the B1G Championship Game in Indianapolis which is 2 hours away and the tickets were $100 on their own and we got 3 of them. Tickets ALONE cost more than this trip did for you guys.

Just a question, why are portuguese stadiums almost always close to empty except for big games? Also, ELLIS Come to FC Twente! 🇳🇱🔴
It's because 99% of the population are fans of Porto, Benfica and Sporting, so you only see good attendances with his three and sometimes with teams like Boavista, Vitoria Guimaraes and Braga,
that have a good fan base in their city. The other clubs have bigger attendances mainly when Porto and Benfica come to their stadiums.
It's mostly because tickets have huge taxes compared to other kinds of entertainment. When tickets were cheap, even small teams had good attendances.
Since money is short for everyone, people just go to the stadium to watch the top teams, and since the main sports channel broadcasts all the games of the championship, smaller team supporters stay at home most of teams.
There's also a percentage of fault that belongs to terrible refereeing, which allows time-wasting teams to get away with it, stop the game too many times and decrease the useful time of the game. That makes most matches uninviting to many football fans.
In sum, it's no one's fault but the government, the football federation and the portuguese league.

Because bigger clubs are more financially stable and are able to provide discounts both in individual tickets and in season tickets, which most of the times include UEFA competition matches. Smaller clubs don't have the financial stability to offer such advantages nor compete with their marketing. To a football fan with a average portuguese income, and disregarding strong club loyalty, financially it makes more sense to take the big club option.
This is not the bigger clubs' fault either because they are just doing their thing.
This is a problem that should have already been address by the competent authorities, by, for instance, implement equality measures and provide support to smaller teams that enter UEFA competitions, so they can build a team and not focus so much on the investment, so that they can earn higher prize money and then invest in their fan base.
Because the fans don't believe in the game . Everyone knows lots of game's result are made beyond the curtains . No longer will be the end of the football in Portugal because the fake results are killing it.
