The CC850 is the evolution of the CCX that uses the gearbox from the Jesko (pronounced Yesko) which is a 9 speed which is only operated by changing the clutches to engage which gear ratio you want at the given moment rather than the traditional duel clutch which relies on the gear to be selected to achieve the gear ratio on either side of the two halves. That's what they developed for the Jesko and redeveloped it for the CC850 to not only have the 9 speed auto multi clutch but also can be put over to manual mode to drive it as a stick shift using a manually operated clutch pedal as was the original CC8 and CCX! Mind blowing 🤯

Fun fact: Koenigsegg has a patent on their "synchro double-helix" door hinges which allow them to open like that.
Also, when you were talking about their engines, it's kind of funny that you should mention Ford engines first, as when Koenigsegg were starting out, until the Agera, I think, Koenigsegg did use Ford engines. They used the Panther V8 from cars like the Mercury Maurauder. Then, with the Agera they began to manufacture their own engines.

Long post about my previous cars and how I feel about Volvo. Tl:dr it's an amazing car
I upgraded from a 2017 Range Rover Evoque diseal to a 2023 Volvo XC60 B6, the Volvo is hands down the nicest car for around 100k AUD, everyone that gets into it says the exact same thing.....wait this is a Volvo, I never knew they were this nice inside.
The engine is 300hp, dual charged so a Supercharger and a Turbo with an extremely mild hybrid system. Compared to my Range Rover it's so smooth, the Range Rover has a softer ride but that's only because it's on much thicker tyres which obviously provides more suspension.
I'm going to buy a Polestar 3 or the equivalent in three years time, can't wait. My wife drives a XC40 Electric version and omg is that car quick and fun to drive.
She loves it and says it much nicer than her Mercedes AMG A250. And we thought those cars were much much nicer than my 2014 Subaru Forester XT and more refined and better interior than her mk7 Golf GTI.
Volvo's are extremely nice cars and everyone I've taken in either of ours says the same. Heavily underated car.
And I only got the Volvo because the SQ5 I wanted had over a years wait list. I'm extremely glad I've chosen the Volvo. The self driving on the highway is phenomenal being in Australia and driving 7 and a half hours every other weekend (Canberra to Melbourne) is a life saver. Maps in a head up display is actually the handiest thing ever in a city that's foreign to me.

There's also variant of Gemera with V8 internal combustion engine combined with electric motors having total power around 2300 bhp if you think 1700 is not enough for you and you can accept heavier vehicle.

Also, there is an entire youtube series by //Drive that is like a series of short documentaries about koenigsegg's philosophy and engineering, totally worth a watch if not a reaction.

You are not the only without authorization 😅. Gemera is a four seater (so the largest one) two door car with option of a 3 cylinder or an 8 cylinder engine with the newly developed transmission which can be used with a stick shift manually, by paddle shifters or in a completely automatic mode. The manual uses just 6 different ratios (if not wrong) the paddle and auto has 9 gears. All the gears are connected all the time so it is even faster than the double clutch transmission.

The last motor they have is a V8 biturbo developing 1100HP (5 liters). And with 3 eletric engines to support that that can give 700 horse power on top of that... yes, inpressive

On pump gas, yes. On E85, the power rises to 1500HP. As for the electric motors, they actually did away with the 3 separate motors and replaced it with a single, 800 HP model, dubbed "Dark Matter"

The gemera is an four seater hybrid with v8 with 1500hp and one electric motor for 800hp and combine 2300hp and 2750nm

The US would rather enforce companies to up security on cars than to fix their roads and make them safer for example use roundabouts, less stop signs (so they have meaning), better public transport so there's fewer cars and lower speed limits.
    Just a thought :)

Gemera (Swedish ”ge mera”, meaning ”give more”, put together to one word), is pronounced like ”yemera”. When one of the vowels eiyäö follows a g, the g is pronounced like the y in ”yet”. Otherwise it's pronounced like the g in ”good” and ”garden”. There's also a third pronunciation of the letter g in some French loan words like ”geni”, ”genre” and ”ingenjör”. In those cases the g is pronounced closer to the French pronunciation.
There are of course exceptions to these rules, ”agera” being one of them. The pronunciation of the g in ”agera” is the same as the g in ”good”, which it shouldn't be according to the rules.

By the way, in 2024 the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is the world record holder of fastes car in the world with having achieved a top speed of 330 mp/h, which translates to 531 km/h.
For reference: The 2022 released racing game "Gran Turismo 7" had a Concept Car that was imagined to be released in 2035, the Dodge SRT Tomahawk X VGT, which could achieve a top speed of around 630 km/h.
That would have been about 13 years in the future from the games release onward.
But with the record the Jesko Absolut achieved in real life and not just plain theory it seems like we might be able to achieve that speed mark a lot earlier than we thought.
    What times to be alive.

So my mother knew Christian von Koenigsegg back in school. I say know but she wasn’t friends with him or anything, he was a year younger the her. Christian was apparently that quiet kid who doodled cars all day in his notebooks. So if you yourself are that type of person and you’re good; you can really make something of that! Don’t let others stop you from making what you love

Wel, that is, I think, the biggest difference between the US and Europe.
In the USA you can build everything you want and yust drive this on the public roads. For other parts of the world, you need to submit first a number of cars for testing to an institute for road safety certification before you can build more cars
