Hesono is Japanese for umbilical cord. XG has a chant Hesono! 'O! It basically means that they are closer than siblings, XG are not just a group, but family. They did make a MV short for it though. XG Documentary EP 7 (I think) was heavily focused on Hesono.
Oh for sure there are plenty of theories to the MV of PUPPET SHOW but on the surface level through the lyrics we get women empowerment. But the MV suggests otherwise that there’s more too it. Some J-ALPHAZ have been talking so much on the meaning of the MV but for me I believe this was a visual representation of XG breaking boundaries and not conforming to the societal norms of how idols should be. XG has always been about striving towards their dreams, while being a strong inspiration for women and people from all walks of life. This was them rising to the top and not letting influences control them but they control their own destiny! As always love your reaction! Thanks for always supporting our girls! Hesonoo, pronounced like heh so no, is Japanese word for a tube connecting a baby and a mother inside her womb. Representing XG members bonds to each other. A girl who couldn’t debut as a member but who were acting as leader when they were trainees used the word Hesonoo to express their relationships like a family even though they don’t share blood of course.
I feel like at one point Heesonoo and X-Gene were a single song, but they split them up to make it easier for people to put the second half into a playlist.
I was waiting for this reaction! I had Puppet Show on repeat at work on release day, I think it may be my favorite song of theirs but we’ll see with time.
