I love how much knowledge you have and that you share it with your viewers. I learn something you in every video. I have been watching you for at least six years and you would think I would retain the things you teach us....but I digress.
Hi Cliff. I dont often comment on your videos but I do watch and enjoy all of them. It amazes me that you can teach school and still get a video out nearly every day. I look forward to your camping trips during the summer break. Thank you for all that you do.
Didn’t think you would find them. Loved the hike such a pretty area. Love seeing the flowers 💐 thanks for taking me along. Please take care
When you see a double trunked tree like the Tulip Poplar you showed when you were looking for Morels it usually indicates a second growth tree. These trees sprout from the original trunk and are almost always double trunked right at the base.
O yes On To The Next YES 🎉🎉🎉🎉
You might want to consider looking for slippery elms to locate morel mushrooms.i hope this helps !
Thank you.
A nice springtime hike; enjoyed it very much. Thanks!
You could never let me down Cliff. What a great hike. I love those walks in the woods, hearing the crunch of your footsteps. Loved the woodpecker. I tried to get the bird noise on my Merlin app but it didn't pick it up. I think it was a cardinal tho. Ive heard them here and they make a lot of different sounds. All those trails!! I would've got turned around Im sure. You're a good navigator. Keep positive and you'll find the morrel. As always, be safe.❤❤❤
really enjoy watching . like how you identify the different plants, flowers etc. sure wish there were as many tails near me as you have out there
This was a very pleasant hike. Thanks for taking folks along. We have missing our students in common. I missed them at Christmas, too.
18:20 "frees your mind" sounds better than "brain freeze"!
You might want to consider looking for morels under the slippery elms. The guys at Leatherwood outdoors give some prime examples. Hope it helps.
Where my in laws lived in the mountains of Virginia all the locals swore by looking in old apple orchards for what they called Mercles ( they thought it a miracle to find them). Each family had their own secret place to find them and it was a closely guarded secret.
I live in Ohio I've never seen a zebra swallow tail before tiger swallows are beautiful Also the reason there are no morale mushrooms is bigfoot ate them all or the black shadow goat ate them. I love your nature walks.
Found some Paw Paws on Trail 12 last fall!
Nice hike
Beautiful hike. 😊 We find morels at tulip poplar often and sycamores. I know they say dead or dying elm too. Im not sure how many of those we have, I'm sure some but I'm not great at Identification.
Well i sure you were very close to finding your morels.
Sorry I guessed you wouldn’t find any morels. Here in Indiana my parents knew a farmer that had a large woods with oak trees. My father believed morels favored that tree. Also it was best to hunt on a humid morning in spring as when the sun poked through the morels would degrade. Also dig in the leaves with caution as rattlers were often known to be hiding there😬
I too am a nature nerd. I love watching and learning… you are a consummate teacher.
Well, that's a name for a park...
Wadup!
