Hi Chantal! I recently came back to Italy from my first trip to NY and I have to say that's been incredible! Everything exceeded my expectations. I used so many of your recommendations and tips and you helped me so much organizing all the trip. If this is what makes you happy keep pushing cause the web is full of NY videos but no one does it like you. Congrats! I worked 12 years from home for a mystery shopping editing company after 20 plus years as a journalist. Went back to a daily newspaper in January- Got bored at home. I was worried because I was not sure I could still be a reporter. After the first story/day- it all came back. Do not stress about a new job. You will have fun AND... you do have this channel as a backup! (:

It was a very challenging thing for me to do considering I'm probably twice your age, but it was so rewarding to build something from scratch. Excited for your new chapter! My husband is a PM in tech and was laid off for 7 mos. Stressful. He just found a new role. Being laid off 3x in 5 years is crazy. Tech is so unpredictable but I want to break into myself! I look forward to watching your journey as a working Mom! We will literally be in similar boats. I have a 3 year old, work as a marketer from home, coffee shops, bookstores.... I have a feeling you'll be doing some of that. best of luck xo

Interesting to hear that you are going back to a 9-5. I am new to your channel because I had a trip to NYC planned in April this year, and I found your videos very very useful. I am now back from that trip and I honestly think if I hadn't seen your videos about different areas in Manhattan I would have missed so much. I went to the doughnut and bagel shops you recommended and even some of the bars. I am pleased to hear you are continuing with YT as since coming back from my trip I just want to return. Unlikely I'm afraid, but just wanted to say thank you for all your recommendations and they made me confident to take my solo trip to NYC. Good luck with the new job.

I’ve been working from home for so long, I can’t imagine going back to an office, dressing up and commuting. Although in theory my hours are flexible I generally still end up working 9 to 5 Monday through Friday, or sometimes 7 to 3. I feel more productive that way. I like to keep my evenings and weekends free so I can hang out with friends with office jobs!
It's definitely a change! I'm glad it's only a couple days per week max because I could NOT go back to that commute 5x per week 😅

Congrats on your new job and website! I hope that the new position works out for you. So many new positions are being created but not always carefully thought through. Then the company will reassess their manpower needs and eliminate the "new" position. If that happens to you, remember that it's not a reflection of your job performance, it has more to do with growing pains within the company and their poor forecasting skills. And general lack of commitment to their employees. Just keep your head up and know your own worth! Congrats again and I hope this company keeps you on until it's time to retire!

Its really cause I don’t know what a good internet broadcasting yeah sure everything is not politics but like also we need information. And u really had to be in the know u know and there were different levels of that but it took awhile maybe like 5 years to finally find a channel like yours. Like it’s so nuts like yeah being a cheesy liberal and then finding the good job and then redeveloping narrative to sell stuff that was more kitsch iterations but don’t worry homo deus and productization climate. And like whatever neural ink is. No problem. And oh yeah like so that corporation has like a lot of say in a lot of things it’s like sorry for being like well what about multiculturalism and diversity. Like how. And it’s not like I know anything but I think it good to read books and like it can still be problematic. And it still took me years to find something that I wouldn’t even look for.
