I've based what I think about the council of Nicaea on what Manly P. Hall said about it. The question is, what books were these different bishops in possession of before, and what was considered canon before the council, and after?
@AdiFingold He said that the Jesus movement or "Christianity" before the Council of Nicaea was not centrally organized, and that there were remote groups, whose leaders may have had in their possession a relic, or one copy of a gospel, or even one page of a copy of a gospel, kept as a sacred artifact. So the Council, having convened in 325... we're talking about over a quarter of a century from the time Jesus walked the Earth. I'm paraphrasing of course.
@@AdiFingold You'll find the particular talk of his on the "Library of Alexandria" channel, titled "Christian Gospels Not in the Bible - Manly P. Hall."
"Clever", indeed...downright cunning, I'd say. Still, it's naught but a lowly cunning. "Let's force the narrative to match the idealistic concept rather than allowing the concept to, naturally & harmoniously, be dictated by the actual narrative"...what?
After counsil of nasea debat was created Trinity ..its shame that milion of Christian of today world debating and mocking others by thinking that Christianity trinity came from time of Jesus peace be upon him haha .. They still belief in trinity haha
Bart Ehrman speaks as though he was "a fly on the wall" in the hall when the meeting of the Council of Nicea took place.! I will believe Dr. Bart only if he has an authentic audio and video recording of the 300 Bishops meeting and discussing at the Council of Nicea. Otherwise just forget about whatever happened then.! 🤔
Actually, there was no church-wide council that voted on the canon of the Bible before the Council of Trent in 1545. And that was in response to the Protestant Reformation, so it includes many books that Protestants don't accept.
How do he know? This is not true. Because jesus did not speak greeek. Just this proves he is wrong. He dong have anything to compare with. Thats just strange. Council of Nicea was the time where the church changed everything so that it could be used to have control over humans.

Bart erdman is an agnostic but he is also a professor who studies history. He pulls no punches on either side whether you like him or not
We have the 'minutes' of the Council of Nicea (really, a written record). We know what was discussed and decided. And that was as Dr. Ehrman says.

Only Aramaic.
The so-called "son of god" can only speak 1 language? Shame ... I can even speak 4 different languages and I'm a mere mortal human.
