VorTech MP10 - Install and Operation

This video covers the basic installation and operation of the VorTech MP10 Pump. 1st segment shows how to tune the pump, and 2nd segments steps through the various modes. This video is part of my build series for my Solana 34 gal reef tank.

When I first ran across these on the internet I was under the impression that you would have to drill a hole through the glass, which wasn't that appealing and turned me off. Looking into it a bit more I found out it's operated from electromagnetism so there are no holes to drill. That said I'm definitely going to be ordering the mp40 today. Great video, the food really helped show how much current even the mp10 can put out.

Hi, thanks for the great video so this is battery powered pump? How long does it last before you change battery? 2 weeks? I am looking for a Pump that will last two weeks incase power goes up when I go for vacation/holiday.

Hi, it's not battery powered. Best option would be to have a battery back up, that can be used to keep the essentials running such as the return pump, heater and lighting.
