they're not worth it yet but for push mowers they're quite comparable in performance for the residential customer and no motor mainteance. I've had a ryobi 40v push mower for 3 years now only thing I've had replaced was the self propelled cable its not in a protective case but had that taken care of at a local shop. once prices come down on electric riders people will switch.
@@steamboatwillie935 ok? I mow alittle over a acre at my home and my push mowers 2 6ah batteries last about 40 minutes of continous cutting. even a gas push mower would be low on gas for a 2 acre lawn you definitely need a riding mower. theres electric zero turns now that can handle 2 acres. sure yes it takes longer to charge than filling it back up with fuel if you run out during the mow you're right at the fence of electric vs gas for your yard. run times are only going to improve and prices are going to continue to drop on electric equipment.
@@ChosenOneDan the upcoming EGO commercial Electric ZTR will do 14 acres on a single charge. Essentially, a whole day's worth of commercial usage. Their residential 52" ZTR will do 4 acres advertised (around 3 acres observed)
All new mowers are Chinese made junk, disposable. My American made riding mower lasted me 44 trouble free years before I donated it to a tractor museum.
