Beat Radhan with the thrusting shield I ended up pulling off a poison/rot/bleed build and it worked pretty well. I put blood affinity on the shield, poison mist ash of war which did decent damage if it hit but also left the cloud for some damage over time and eventually poison, also would give me poison grease even tho my weapon was ungreasable followed up with some rot incantions. Took me a couple tries but the shield came in clutch and helped me bust out 3 status didn't even know you could haha!
The Veridian Hidden tear lasts all of three seconds. It’s probably a little longer than that but it feels like three.

How did you apply your scholar shield when your shield is on your left armament? Mine won't let me, or even let me two-hand my left armament.

Can piercing fang bypass it?
I tried this against the unnamed mosileum at the start of the game and it totally failed
Deflecting hardtear only enhances your guard for the first split second (and the subsequent guard counter), so if you're planning to keep your guard up continuously while attacking, the tear isn't gonna do much of anything. I would recommend switching it out for opaline hardtear or greenburst crystal tear.
That’s what I was thinking.
That's the main reason I started noticing the deflecting hardtear was overrated as hell. It doesn't work like Sekiro's guard counter and you can't press guard in the same rhythm as the bosses combos so you still end up either taking major chip damage or getting your stance broken. I still say the old dodge and attack method works best for me.
How is this after the patch? Fed up with that cheap final boss.
I tried to do it but it ate all of my stamina.
What ash of war do you use?
Doesnt matter, choose any which can have blood or ice.
The ash is not used, just the passive of the ash.

You're taking mad damage 🧐 I actually think the magic shield trick worked better in Darksouls 3 since there was no stamina drain of any kind. You could even block Midir's laser (but not the explosion) without losing stamina.
How do I put scholar sheild on the carian thrusting sheild
Shield in one hand, sorcery staff in other with scholars shield equipped. Use the staff on the shield but both need to be out and if you put it away or change it, it goes away.

I love when people see something like this and they make a build to invade people,,,, and immediately get demolished 😂.
Just earlier me and a friend beat a guy who invaded us at the abyss woods using that very shield, also another guy using the lightning perfume bottle. Keep this videos coming cause they make invaders easy pickings 👍

Yeah, its a great tutorial but totally spoiled the final boss. Should of just showed gameplay of him using it in normal combat or on some great enemies.

It's been out for like a week. You should know better. I got the final boss ruined within the first 24 hours of release 😂 that's when I knew it was unavoidable unless I lost my phone.
