I have a 2022 GV70 in red with red interior. I love this car! A great combination of luxury and sport. Does anyone else have dealer problems? My dealer service has great people and work hard when there is a problem, but wait times for an appointment are very disappointing. The first maintenance I had to wait a month for an appointment. The second I had to wait 5 weeks! Not exactly the service that Genesis promotes when you buy one! In contrast, I can take my Toyota in for maintenance without an apointment and get it back in a couple of hours! Love this channel. They are my favorite car reviews!
They use that engine in kia/hyundai products--but you can shop around for a quicker time.btw the kia dealer will do work--including warranty on genesis cars.The bmw that is across from or attached to kia was also a month out on warranty work.
Exactly. Got burned. G70 owner. Genesis pulled out of my area and the nearest one is now 250 miles away. Literally picking up my new Mazda day after tomorrow. G70 has some cosmetic issues, radar cruise issue, and recalls that, while all covered by warranty, I can’t get fixed realistically.
I have had a stinger and now a kona n and have never had any issues.The kona n needed a dct update and they did that in 45 minutes.I am 2 years in with my kona and have spent 40 dollars total on maintenence and that was for the cabin and air filter--oil changes are free for the first 3 years on these products also.hyundai was a joke growing up but since about 2015 when they brought bieman from bmw their products have improved signifigantly.This or the ioniq 5 might be my next vehicle.Also I bought my gt stinger 3.3tt awd in 2020 at the beginning of covid when cars were not selling for 36k and 2 years later sold it privately for 12k more then i bought it.

The Buffalo, NY Genesis dealer has the 2025 Genesis GV70 in stock. 13 Sport Prestige models with the 3.5T engine. Seems kind of late for a 2024 review.

Disagree. It's not any worse than X3s, Q5s, GLCs, Grecales, and even Macans when it comes to depreciation. Kind of average for such cars. Lexus Rx and RDX have better depreciation but they also feel cheaper than some new Hyundai's like the Santa Fe.
I dont mind the drive and infotainment controllers being stacked. She sizes are slightly different and the texture is different on both. They 100% need to have wireless CarPlay. At this price point the car should have a video rear view camera. The Telluride has it. I think it’s safer to use the controller versus reaching ahead and looking at your hand placement on the screen to use the touchscreen. The rear seat legroom is too tight IMO. I’d be fine taking 4-5” from the hatch and giving them to the passengers. If BMW can do a performance powertrain with really good fuel economy Hyundai/Kia should be able to do it too. IMO the GV70 interior blows away the interiors of the X3, Q5, RX & Macan. I’d definitely like to see a hybrid, more rear seat legroom, video mirror, wireless CarPlay, another 1-1.3 faster 0-60 time, more customizable driver setup and a better stereo. I liked the 2020 Stinger sound system better than the current GV70 system.

Hellcats and M5's are super powerful muscle cars, good gas mileage isn't an option😂. And a Maybach is for someone in a COMPLETELY different tax bracket. People buying a luxury SUV in the $45k-$80k range definitely care about fuel economy. If they didn't hybrids wouldn't be selling like hotcakes.

@@naveenthemachine I'm not sure what any of that has to do with what I said? Just because SUV's exist that don't get good gas mileage doesn't mean people don't want good gas mileage😂. For one all the SUV's you mentioned other than the X3 cost substantially more than a GV70 (The X3 M is a better match to those other options, which again costs more). They're also purpose made performance variants of much tamer SUV's, and I'm pretty sure they have much lower sales figures vs the less powerful trim levels. Funny enough even though they're all much faster than the GV70 they actually have similar or better fuel economy which makes the GV70 fuel economy numbers look even worse. There's a market for people that want the best track times and that market generally doesn't overlap with the people that want good mpg's, but the market of people that want good mpg's is SUBSTANTIALLY larger. Despite what you might think most people buy the trim level with the reasonable engine, not the Hellcat or SRT or AMG or M etc etc. Very few people are going to be cross-shopping a GV70 with a BMW or Merc that does sub 4 second 0-60 runs and costs $20k-$40k more money. They're going to be cross shopping with other more reasonable SUV's that almost certainly get better fuel economy. I'm not saying the mpg on the GV70 is a dealbreaker, I'm just saying people do care about it and it's pretty mediocre compared to the competition.
To many people in the comments don't have the money to be in this class (unless it's 10 year used model down the road) and clearly haven't driven any (let alone all) of this segment. You want to be as close to a car in driving dynamics? Get a Macan S. M340 is next closest but drives worse and rides worse than the Macan (and honestly rides worse than all its comp). You want comfort and luxury, get a specced out GV70. SQ5 is a distant second. GLC is in a weird spot between the two and I despise MB interiors right now which feel and look cheap. Everything else in this class is significantly worse than all those. Id argue there's zero point in trying to have a sports CUV/SUV, so just get the GV70 which the 3.5 has more than enough and just have a sports car on the side. You want a sporty family vehicle? Then get a sports sedan or shooting brake.

I still dislike the fact that the entire Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis make the tachometer on the right, and speedometer on the left, even though it’s all digital, but there is no option to swap them.
Bentley meet’s Mercedes Benz is certainly wishful thinking. I think their concepts capture more of that design philosophy than their actual production models.

No, it definitely is not. The NX is a gussied up Rav4 that looks like a transformer built by committee inside and out. The handling, driving dynamics, and ride quality are miles above the NX as are the interior design, luxury appointments and material quality. If you're looking for better fuel mileage, then the NX may be your vehicle of choice. If, however, you enjoy driving, outstanding design, and quiet luxury, your choice is quite clear. Hint: It's not the Toyota, er... Lexus! 😏

The Lexus NX is the better choice overall.
Drove both and actually preferred the GV70, just felt more luxury. Although reliability is still a question and would go to the NX in my opinion.

@@miguelvega7769 you’re acting as if recalls in a Hyundai are bad. Need I remind you that Toyota has recalls too? Their turbo engines aren’t faring all that well in reliability. Plus Toyota recalled the tundra sequoia LX for transmission problems and the lx is made in Japan
