I want you to know that your singing and playing, mistakes and iterations, pet and husband interruptions, and general attitude of choosing to be happy have helped me just as much as the techniques and polymer clay info you give. That has given me the confidence to be myself too. You are definitely my cup of tea!
Thank you so much! Life is full of such interruptions and accidents (happy and otherwise) but on we go, right? Too many people these days seem to choose to be unhappy - depression is one thing, that’s serious - but I think you can choose to see the positive or the negative and I choose to see the positive. I think of what my parents survived and in comparison, I have zero to complain about! So on we go! Hugs, D
No editor need, keep your gorgeous comments and giggles. That makes it feel so much more personal. As someone who currently is in hospital recovering from a total knee reconstruction, this was a great diversion. So thank you.🥰
I agree with others, can’t understand why you need editing. I was a college professor who used to make teaching videos, and I can say I understand your videos perfectly. This is not rocket science, it is most important to illustrate and describe nuances as you do.
Your tutorials are real life. And because of that many feel more creative I know I do. Even the greatest artists make mistakes you are just not afraid to show it and it’s an inspiration to many!!!
I am a Firm believer in showing mistakes. I think it reduces frustration for everyone, right? I love youtube because it makes being just what I do possible! ❤️
Donna i love every quirk u have.😊 it makes the tutorial more like we are with u in person! Dont change anything! I love dusty and Louis! Plus love ur Vernon! Wish mine was like yours mine left 7 yrs ago when my daughter was 11 and still wont give me a divorce! Always do you!
Thank you, Marcie! I appreciate that. I am lucky, kid. I can’t believe your wish he were my ex! Are there abandonment laws? He should not get away with that. I know that some religions allow this. For orthodox Jewish women, they have to be given the “get” by the husband. 🤞 ❤️
This new iteration of your faux turquoise looks like the map of the world to me. It would make a great present for environment and conservation lovers.
Wowsers!! You are truly a polymer clay master artist. Your skills are next level. I just began about a year ago and I'm totally obsessed. I rarely so a day without playing with my clay at least a little. I have 1 child that is graduating in a week and another soon to be an adult, so my husband encouraged me to dive into clay to have something to focus on instead of being an "empty nester." I hope to reach even half of your skill level 1 day! Practice practice practice! ❤
Your not a robot. I love your video's and I respect everything you have done for the poly clay community. Thank You for being real and your video's are perfect just the way they are. I don't miss any of them and I always have a smile on my face when I listen to you Donna You give me Joy. xxxooo Brenda
Hey D no editor needed!! You are so fun to watch and love looking at your older creations. Once again thank you for sharing your creativity and hard work 💜 🧡
I like the new one a bit better but they are both very nice. Thanks for your videos. No editor needed, you are just fine as you are. Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there.
Hi D! I watched this in the middle of the night and was tooooo tired to type- I love, love ,love the looks of those early pieces! I love the stone technique, I haven’t tried any sheet tearing yet- in regards to the young editor he’s probably casting about to find some work, I don’t think you need it. Unless you were wishing you had lots of cut away shots for humor, cartoon music, sound effects…..I’m not, personally, a fan of professionalism- it’s just not as fun as authenticity and fun is where it’s at!
I -for one- LOVE your videos, mannerisms, and imperfections.... And your artistry can't be beat. We have enough flashy, polished content in the world. Your authenticity is an asset.
Don't think you need an editor. I don't even do polymer clay (I make small-scale ceramics alone) and put you on as my "workshop buddy", listen to you talk and peep at whatcha doin' from time to time. Don't change! There's a lot of "aesthetically-edited" studio vlogs out there, but I prefer the intimate, homey and authentic feel you give.
You don’t need an editor. Don’t change a thing I love your tutorials just the way they are. When you say donk or ta da it makes it fun. It sounds like something my friends and I would say. It keeps things light and not so serious. Thank you so much for sharing your tutorials I appreciate them so much and have learned and still learning a great deal. You are a great teacher and your work looks so neat and perfect so don’t change a thing
I am a very busy single mom that got into polymer clay during the pandemic. Once lock down was over I went back to having very little time to clay and everything got packed and put away with all the rest of my “good intentions”. I still have a hard time making time for me and life is so stressful that I’ve turned to weekly therapy that uses neurofeedback. When they ask me what I want to watch during treatment I have them pull up your latest video. Now every week, my therapist asks me what I made after our last session 😂. I brought her a magnet last week - she was impressed (and so was I). Donna, I have always been inspired by your work but watching your videos is so soothing for me. Your sweet spirit and playful nature just emanates and I just adore you for shining like you do! Thank you.
Donna, I appreciate these videos so much! I'll be doing a demonstration of basic cane making soon, and you inspire me. I just found your millifiori book. I am having the best time. You have definitely helped me grow as an artist. Thankful for you!
Great video, Donna! I just started a very similar series on my channel, recreating pieces from 20 yrs ago...lol. My channel is only 13 but been doing clay for 20...I can't even imagine 30! Now I need to find your book! Thanks again for a great video!❤
I'll check it out, Lynz! We oldies must help the newbies understand the medium, right? And share our love of the medium with them. I love youtube so much! Hugs, ❤️
Donna, if you use your Neiva cream on the threads of your extruder and on the rubber ring, your extruder won't squeak and will be easier to crank. Tip I learned at the MDPAG retreat.
You are precious and I can't imagine anyone not liking you. I always say, I know I'm not for everyone and I'm O.K. with that. I have realized at my age, you can't please everyone.
I bet that one necklace where you tried to get a metal look with mica powder was probably done with fimo pulver. I think they stopped making it a long time ago but it was much shinier than say pearl ex or other mica powders. I recognize the sheen and color. I even have some unopened bottles left! Btw, I always use a bit of trans in my faux stone colors. It just seems to add depth to the color instead of a flat color if that makes any sense.
I love your videos and you are so talented 💖 Your jewelry is wonderful 📿✨️ I have also been working with polymer clay for a long time 😁 I started in 1992 and here in Sweden where I live, there was only Cernit clay when I started making jewelry. I wish you a wonderful weekend! 🍃🪷🍃🪷🍃🪷🍃🪷🍃
hi maria! you know what it was like in the old days. we didn't have pasta machines and so many tools we have now. things and work has changed so much, right? i think our work is more refined and it used to be more thick and rough. we have grown so much, it's amazing. I hope you'll subscribe to my channel, i don't really ask in my tutes but it's important. i'd like the tutes to go as far as they can and i'd also like to grow our community. polymer clay is so wonderful, many still don't know about it! anyway, thanks so much. hugs, d
@DonnaKatoArt Of course I have started subscribing to your wonderful videos 😁👍 I didn't have any tools then, just things I had at home and I had to use my imagination to make everything with the clay 😄 It's really fun working with polymer clay and it's wonderful to see how good you are whith the clay 😍🤩 I wish you a wonderful Sunday 🍃🪷🍃
I was really fun to watch you recreate something complex that you originally designed and created years ago. Thank you so much. I'm new to this so I have quite a way to go before attempting something as complex as this! If you read this could you respond with the namee of the 600 sanding cloth you used? ♥️
Hi Cynthia! I use Abranet P600. Now, if you can't find it, you can use automotive wet/dry sandpaper. I'd use 400, 600 and 800 grit. You have to sand in soapy water to keep the dust down. The abranet seems to hold the grit. Hugs, D
I remember trying to copy your turquoise and the white glittery opal-ish stone.. Using your book, back when my son who is 25 now was still in diapers. 😭😭😭
Hey Donna! Maybe your extruder has a rubber o-ring. After I replaced mine (different brand) it is so much happier & cranks better! Re: Editor If this person is cold contacting you & you did not seek out their services, then you do not owe them a reply - mark as spam and delete. Be safe.

Totally agree. You always bring a big smile to my face!
No editor need, keep your gorgeous comments and giggles. That makes it feel so much more personal.
As someone who currently is in hospital recovering from a total knee reconstruction, this was a great diversion. So thank you.🥰
Oh my, Donna. I had both my knees done in 22. I feel for you, get well soon. Your necklace is GORG!
I hope your recovery goes quickly and smoothly❤
Marijke! Get well soon, kid! Take it easy❤️

Oh I love your turquoise guys!! Nothing but admiration for you Mrs Donna!!My sincere compliments and Heartfelt thanks for sharing!!❤❤❤❤
I think you are great, don't worry about those who dislike you.
They don't matter, just keep being you.
I can't be anything but, I guess!
It looks like earth. So pretty!🤩
The tearing reminds me of that watercolor method... And your videos are perfect. No editor needed. ❤
It does! I did it before Maggie, I do believe. Hugs, D
Hi Donna, the faux turquoise is by far the closest to the original thing I’ve seen. It’s amazing!
Oh, thank you, Vee! 😊❤️
Donna, I have been watching you since your days on Carol Duvall.. You are just fine the way you are!
I like the longer pearl very much.
i love those, too, the shapes are great. hugs, d
