- Geraint finishes off the first field and is off to the next (but that's the next video in this series). Chuckles gets a nearly full load for the steep hill to the farm, and we get a brief glimpse of the JCB on the pit. John Deere 7850 forager with New Holland TM150 and Rob on the John Deere 6520 (I think).
Nice Alan - I'm on a school right now, so that's why i'm not commenting as much as before.
The blue barrels are for an additive that helps the grass to ferment.
To Snowtruckdriver
It's very common in UK. You're correct - it is high protein and high bulk as well.
excellent alan
I've never seen "wholoe crop wheat" chopped in this fashion. it must make for a very high protein feed.
Great vid good to finish of this vid! and good guess, it is a 6520 :)
good vid

Thanks very much.

Thanks Steve.
I wonder what stage the wheat is at when this is done, it has to be wet enough to pack in the pit.
so strange to me seeing Wheat being cut before it is ripe and cut up like silage
can't say that I have ever seen that done here but maybe it is done I have not seen it
Whole crop wheat? Does that mean the whole of the plant gets chopped for silage, including the grain? Seems a bit of a waste
To sleepyrider
How can it be a waste if it gets eaten? That's what it is grown for!

Don't worry William. I'm not at school but I still can't even watch all the videos let alone comment on them!
To 1qa211
Thanks very much - I will!
Does anybody know the wide and height of the tipper body on the 20ft Dooley trailers?
Joe O Driscoll I’m nearly certain 83 inches wide by 8 feet high, I can check as I work for Dooley’s
