*Kira:* So we bring the ship in where they can't detect it…then walk in with just two phasers. *O'Brien:* Why don't we do a low approach and blast *all* the Cadassians with the Runabout's phasers and when they're _all_ dead and the main control room and communications array is dust, _then_ drop shields and beam the prisoners up. We'll get the Prefect and all the troops, as an added bonus. *Kira:* Good idea, I'm used to not having fully armed starships at my disposal, but they'll know it was Starfleet, even if there's no survivors the weapons signature will give it away. *O'Brien:* Lot of Marquis use stolen Starfleet weapons… but I can alter the weapons signature to leave a different residue. Who should we implicate? Romulans? Klingons? Ferengi? [Kira smiles]… nah, not believable. I know, the Breen. [Kira purses her lips, then nods in assent. But she mutters Ferengi under her breath].
casbott The Maquis didn’t exist yet during the first season of DS9 so those tricks hadn’t been used yet. Still, the runabout could’ve did a low flyover as they took off if they left two behind to cover the others since O’Brien couldn’t beam up more than two at a time.
Many humans would have only generational ancestorial relations to Earth by this point in time as they grew up in families spending centuries in colony worlds that do not necessarily have the same utopian vision as do humans on Earth.
CleanerBen Given a few hundred years of technical improvements, I would think a weapon could be set for: NEAREST CARDASSIAN, ANYWHERE IN MY FIELD OF FIRE Though that doesn’t really explain the misses.
Not bad but would've liked it better if Miles "Slayer of Setlik III" O'Brien launched an anti-matter missile directly into the camp once they took off in the runabout.

What I find interesting is that the Cardassian is not surprised by the existence of a human pimp.
The Orion syndicate is a thing.
Not all humans live in the Federation

Well, without slaves, how will Cardassians get them rocks in the basket?
If Phasers had a little flip up IRON SIGHT...
ST: VOY phaser rifles do
Urm... Why didn't they bring a 'few' extra weapons?
Sadly, 24th century clothing doesn't understand the convenience of pockets
geonerd Because then they could have shot all the Cardassians and slowly strolled back to the shuttle.
Kira went over the top with the short hair in season 2.
I still don't get how they can aim those weapons without sights.

O'Brien and Kira both have a lot of military experience, so both probably have excellent aim.
@@RobynHarris Set phaser for everyone I don't like!
[phaser scans, shoots me]
Oh...
CleanerBen That’s why we need a three day cooling off period, before letting people buy phasers.
O'Brien is a hardened ground troop soldier from the Cardassian border wars. He knows how to fire his stuff.

They must have been sweating under their latex masks and unconfortable heavy costumes.
Man, don't play poker with Kira.
I dont think there is enough room in the runabout for all those people. It is a very small ship, or at least the set they use for it is very small.
What we normally see is just the cockpit area. Go watch TNG's "Timescape" to get a good view of the cabin area of a Danube-class runabout.
I wouldn't mind squeezing into a 4 man craft with about 20 other people if it meant an escape from slavery.
@@STEJTHEGREATEST A Danube-class Runabout can hold up to 40 passengers

I don’t find Kira to be sexy at all.
Bigtruckseriesreview Motorsports I think you might be in the minority on that one lol
How could you find any filthy xenos scum attractive?
Cos your gay
In the first season with her big shoulder pads I would agree, but when you can see her figure she is lovely. (=
You need your eyes examined
