So very happy that 2022 became the year of your first penguin find! This will indeed be a year to remember! And all the rest of the important finds are icing on the cake! Congratulations on here's hoping that you find many more important fossils!
When I was really sick and couldn’t even walk, it was nice to visit familiar beaches thru your channel. I’m much better now and still enjoying your adventures
Just "found" (read: RUclips fed me) your channel today. What an absolute delight it is and you are! The mix of treasure hunt, skilled work, and deep knowledge is infectious, and you're a wonderful ambassador for your unique hobby. Among other things, I really admire that you donate so many of your finds (and the time you spend preparing them) to scientific institutions, so that more can be learned from them and shared. Simply great stuff.
What a great year; so glad I discovered your channel last Spring! Love watching your videos, and sharing in your discoveries. Your prep music is 'happyusic' to my brain. Merry Christmas Morne!
Hi mister ! Thanks you very much for sharing your finds and enthusiasm here. You make me discover a lot of things and outdigging a new fossil is always amazing. Hope the best for you next year ! Have a nice last week of 2022 and see you soon.
Thanks so much for putting together these great vids. I really like how you have learned to identify things in the field, and then prep the finds so well. Awesome!
Merry Christmas to you and yours! Sure appreciate watching and all the unique specimens you have found! That 50 pound crab was spectacular after being uncovered. Others add so much more for the untrained eye to get a glimpse at. With your knowledge of what a rock may hold. So unbelievable to most! Happy 2023 to you! ♥️🎄♥️🥶♥️
Hey friend. Got recommended on of your videos last week and have been hooked ever since. Do you have any recommendations for somebody who would like to get into this
What a fantastic year you had! I had almost forgotten the bill fish! And your penguin! The whale teeth and the saw fish rostrum! You had a fantastic year! And its almost 2023, time to start fresh and find and discover more new, and exciting things, history making discoveries! Its been a fantastic year and its going to be an epic year to come! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Amazing finds this year, man. Sorry I couldn’t join you this winter after Nelson flooded, things got a little crazy. Enjoying the channel and the seeing what you find. Good luck in 2023!
My favourite is your penguin I’m so happy you found one. I remember when you were hunting with your friend and he found a penguin. I was literally gutted for you.
I was a helicopter mechanic years ago. We used ultrasonic cleaners for cleaning various parts. We filled the machines with jet fuel and turned them on and the ultrasonic waves would gently break away carbon deposits and such. Have you ever used such a thing only using the acid bath?
Great year! Watching this, I was struck that your guesses are very accurate. You must have studied fossil anatomy a great deal! May I ask if your day job is in science? Or has this been your awesome hobby? (You don’t have to share what your day job is, I’m really just curious how you got to this point. Might be a video, even :) Happy holidays!
While I cannot currently fossil hunt myself, I get all my fossil fix from you, so THANK YOU. The ‘Year of the Penguin’ has surely been a fine one. All the best for 2023

I do have an ultrasonic cleaner - it's a great idea to add vinegar to it! I'll give that a go one day!
Absolutely amazing!
Very exciting year!
Thanks! It was a great year!!

Thanks JH! I don't have a background in science, I do spend a bit of time looking at fossil pictures though 😂
Great fossils. Are you immersing them in oxycylic acid? If so, do you keep the liquid warm or hot?
Acetic acid (vinegar) and I don't heat the solution
Every year gets better....
It does!! Maybe 2023 will be the year of the dinosaur?!
Thank you.
There are many of these creatures in Algeria in an area called Escrim, and then it goes back from the stone ages. How we hope that you will visit it🇩🇿
Very good year indeed! The next year will be even better 👊✨️⛏️🍻
Maybe the year of the dinosaur!
Happy holidays everyone!
You too Kyle!
