Love the dark red around the red stripe on the paint. It is very subtle.
That was Brian’s idea. Wasn’t sure how I felt about it in concept but as soon as I saw it on the truck I instantly loved it

I love using those 3/4" button lights on stuff I do also. They are easy to install and plenty bright.

If you had to do heat shields over the smoke stacks you could have some made where it looks like spider webs rather then the normal looking ones

I think it’s fantastic! We just wanted to showcase some capabilities on this truck. We’re gonna go all out on a build soon though. Got a build in the works that’s going to be “legendary” 😉
You don't need an exhaust shield in Wisconsin. I ran my truck with 6inch straight pipes and no heat shields for years and dot'd many times and was never hassled for not having them.

That color combination is a good one, nice job. Just the right amount of details as well. Yall ever use the hidden hood latches? Glad to see the functional exhaust. Keep up the good work.
We’ve done hidden good latches on a couple of builds. We really like them

HOW BAD IS THE Chip shortage for the new semi trucks ? Like Ford is getting hammered by it
Starting to hit much harder. They are compromising where they can. On the new 389s they just did away with keyless entry for now. I’m expecting it to get worse before it gets better unfortunately.
Everyone is feeling the shortage.
@@Tafitzy sadly ur right , sound like this shortage could go on most of the year , let’s hope they figure it out sooner then later

My question on exhaust is, what’s the use of stacks if they’re not hooked up?
Aesthetics, & symmetry. Big hood trucks just don’t look right without stacks. LOL.

We’ve thought about that more than once. We should definitely do an episode on trying that out. Maybe custom fab one.

Hey @Semi Casual do you guys prefer CumminsX15 over the Paccar MX13 ? Better engine right
They are both great engine options to be honest. The Cummins is a more popular engine with owner operators and small fleets.
It really depends on the application. The MX-13 is a very popular engine among OTR customers that are weight conscious. The MX is about 400lbs lighter than the Cummins.

I work on them and paccars have been having alot of issues eating camshafts and some other issues. Me personally I would have a cummins over a paccar by a long shot. Plus you can only go to 510 hp. Most of the engines are set at 455hp.

Why are all these running grass burner exhaust? Just seems like a waste spending money for pipes that don’t do anything.
That is bad to the bone! Wish you could have done red LED accent lights everywhere instead of yellow. That would have really been bad to the bone!

Sorry but if you are proud of that paint job you need to get some glasses. There is a horrible amount of orange peel in the paint. The frame has all sorts of trash in the paint. Yes it is shiny but it is far from being perfect.
