The concept behind interventional radiology is to diagnose and treat patients using the least invasive techniques currently available in order to minimize risk to the patient and improve health outcomes. These procedures have less risk, less pain and less recovery time in comparison to open surgery.👍
Took the words out of my mouth!
wish me luck for my medical school applications :)
Good luck 👍
Good luck, hope you get your first choice.🙂
Good luck
Good luck!!!
@@alexandrarodeyns5564 Thank you :)
Yes please do the video on the uterine fibroid embolisation!! Would love to find out more ❤️ thanks Dr Cellini!!
deal
I told you before....wear a helmet! You’re too smart and have worked too hard to damage your smarticles! -just a concerned mom to of premed! Sorry if I’m annoying🤦♀️
I think you just jinx yourself when you say "I hope I don't get called in..." it's like saying the word "quiet" in the healthcare world xD
Lol right? That's like a cardinal rule in medicine, never say it's quiet or slow lmfao.
Please NEVER say juicy uterine again 😂
🤣
Uterine artery*
shiva swami still nasty
Hahaha....ya ...dont say that. But then again...large uterine fibroid looks juicy
BEST IMAGING 😂
Alright.... It’s time to address the elephant in the room.
What’s your skin care routine? ✨
Haha vitamin C, spf face lotion in the day, and retin-A at night!
@@DrCellini That's that real deal skin care routine! Dr. cellini knows whats up
🧐🤣😂😂😂😂 great question.
I was on the subway in NYC and had a girl in her 20s pass out in front of me. I was the only person to help her up and then had to scream at people to hold the doors open to help me get her out of the train car (she was awake but confused) and said I'd pull the emergency brake if they didn't hold it open for a few minutes which no one wanted, of course, so they finally held the door open.
She ended up refusing medical help so I just walked her to her office before going to work myself.
I love NYC but man, situations like that really are upsetting.
Glad you helped the biker!!
Just awesome!!! ❤
*_Jacket weather is best weather_*
1 million percent!
Gag isdf
👍🏻
*suffers in LA*
A video about uterine fibroids would be awesome.
Also a little jealous of your weather, today’s high in SE Texas is 90!
phew that's hot still!
Yeah it's still been reaching 80's and 90's here in Nevada, gotta love desert living lmfao.
Yes, please do a video on uterine fibroids. It's very common in the black community. Wish I knew about it before my hysterectomy!
Whenever I feel drained I watch medical stuffs..it makes me relax even the trauma conditions doesn't make me panic....I pray that I become a doctor ..
Very hard job trauma unit
In 16 hours i deal 47 patient in trauma unit..
If you’re wondering why those people didn’t help the biker, it’s because you’re in NYC lol. Everyone there is crazy stuck up and selfish
I love Fall weather as well. Not sure about the pumpkin spice, but to each their own. Lol. Great video again.
lol
Dr. Cellini just had a “is there a doctor around” situation and for five seconds everyone cared and then they walked away.
Yeah that was messed up :(
We understand you can't show patients but it would be interesting to show you discussing a case with a colleague or even discussing a procedure with a technician who wouldn't mind being on camera. I sometimes get the feeling I'm watching something from a strange movie when you are the only one in the hospital.
Haha there are a loooooot of rules in the hospital. BUT we are doing a pretty awesome procedural video soon!
He can’t google HIPAA violation
You know why they left because of your scrubs . They knew you had it
Haha I guess 🤷🏽♂️
Temur Duschanov it’s like when you fdny shirt off duty or nypd hat and you stop everyone says peace out
You're just amazing person, I mean you just manage all the things anddd I really appreciate your videos and I'm always waiting for your new videos....Being a Doc. Like you is a blessing........ Very well done.. ❤
“Patient isn’t doing well so I’m rushing” *takes time to make RUclips recording* makes no sense guy
Shout out to the Rad Technologists!! 🙌
Man I can’t ever be first for the real Dr. Mikes video.
Dude has too many subs
Haha pumpkin spice... so basic. Nice hospital vlog again. Also like the pink mask. 👍🏼 Yes do a fibroid video!
haha. #basic
That's awesome that you saved someone's life!! I enjoy when you talk about medical situations you encounter! Really interesting!
Same :D I'd feel so elated if I got to save someone ♥
Thank you Dr. Cellini for this video. It is uplifting to see how you save lives every day with these procedures. I saw that you have to perform these life saving miracles at all times of the day and night. This is remarkable and will never be forgotten by those patients and their families. You are awesome! I appreciate and admire your work Dr. Cellini.
I hope you didn’t get called in again.
Also I would love the fibroid video. I had one but I had a hysterectomy.
I would also love any videos on the liver or pancreas too (aka ERCP’s, or unblocking stones either with or without a gallbladder. I have issues with my ducts.
Thanks again for your awesome videos from over in Australia.
You are leaving summer as we are just starting to head into it :).
Seeing a video like that would be so entertaining!! My mom had a procedure because she had uterine fibroids as well and just more information would be so helpful also because many women come across a lot of similar symptoms and just don’t know when to actually see a dr or just in general overthink a lot of the times! I feel like it would just be very informative for women to hear what to look out for!
The most cool and humble Dr even we are from two different countries but we have the same feelings working in hospital 👍
Sooo interesting to see this! In the hospital I did my residency in, we didn't have an interventional radiologist -- it was hard being out in the sticks! Good on you. Thank you for doing such a great job
Wow thats crazy about everyone left! Yes its ur responsibility because of your knowledge but idk i feel like thatd be everyone's responsibility to be there with the person till they can get some help! Jeeeez people
I would love a video on fibroid embolism! Love your videos. So much learning learning happening from you. Thank you.
Yes, a standalone video on uterine fibroids would be really cool to see.
Do you feel unsafe taking a bus in a pandemic?
Thank you for saving that trauma patient. Yeah that feels good ♥️♥️
As a radiologist, do you feel that you get time for yourself to relax and enjoy time with your family? I have seen several of your videos where you are working three to seven days straight while on call. Do you feel overworked or have a good balance between work and home life?
Oh man I love Pumpkin Spice Latte's 😍👌
From 3:00 - 3:15 in this video; spitting facts. No more sweating and pumpkin everything season, I am basic too, but currently drinking a caramel apple spice.
This might just be the best vlog you’ve ever made. So fun.
Love your videos. It’s great to see medicine from a doctors prospective. A few years ago I had a PE with Bi-Lateral DVT’s. To complicate matters, I tested positive for the flu at the same time. Great to see DR working together for the good of there patients.
love your videos everytime!! :)) i'm a radiologic technology student and watching your videos last year up until today made me love this profession more!! more power to your channel and i hope you keep inspiring other people with your contents!!
Thanks so much for the kind words! Glad you like them!
Saying "quiet day" or "slow day" like that is just bad mojo..
I really like this job but somehow i feel am forced to choose it and i only got 1 year to decide what to choose but between everything i feel radiographer is something i can see myself do between all specialist thoug its not easy and i need to be social worker wich i hate. I don’t know why i just wrote all that but *sigh*
Please do one on fibroids. I have been dealing with cramping daily for 2 years. I have a great GP but can't get a good obgyn.
What do you use to film? I saw the clip with you using your phone, but do you only use your phone to film?
Love your videos BTW! Stay safe!!
I just found my new binge watching channel! Thanks a lot lol. Great content sir.
Cath lab tech, trained in IR. We’ve done uterine fibroid embo in my lab and am always fascinated by them. IR is very different from my cardiac training, but I love both.
how do you get out of the hospital at 4pm?!
As a medical coder who codes those kinds of embolizations I would be interested in a video as it might me have a better understanding of the anatomy and how the procedure is done
Is there any studies about how much radiation do IR doctors get exposed to during their careers, and how "dangerous" it is (i.e. increased risk of cancer etc)? Nice video! Interesting to hear about IR
I don't get that person who disliked this video. If you don't like it, don't watch it. All videos are very catchy especially for a person from the field and radiology is very interesting. For me it would be very interesting to see the actual cases, to see the embolisation, implantation of IVF, etc. Anyway, these videos are nice.🙂
haha there's always THOSE people! Don't worry...really cool case videos coming soon!
@@DrCellini Looking forward to it. And when I said IVF, I ment inferior vena cava filter not in vitro fertilization 😁
Dr.Cellini,
Thanks for all of your content and wonderful insight. I am a current OMS-II and have an interest in interventional radiology. I am wondering what your perspective is on the use of OMM in your practice if any at all. I know this answer could be elaborate, but I’m interested to hear your thoughts on it. Thank you in advance.

I love his day in the lifes. They’re my favorite
My fav RUclipsr , I loooove when u tell us the types of conditions u see during ur on all cant wait for the next vlog 👌🏻💕💕
Please do the uterine fibroid video. The main reason I subscribe is because I love to learn from you!
New York people never change 😂. 🤦🏻♀️
Like someone else commented, would you please wear a helmet 😬😬😬.
One of my fav videos! Love the procedural talk. 🙌 so awesome
Subxanallah brothers and sisters come to Islamic religion everyone will be die if u wanna janah
I 100% think you should do that video on fibroids and embolization. It is something that affects a lot of women and a lot of women endure a lot of pain not knowing that they don't have to just live with it.
Ok hi I don’t want to waste your time but I srsly need ur help. I accidentally poked myself with metal tweezers and it made my finger have a little bump. It’s been 2 weeks and it’s not healing and it’s just super annoying. Would you recommend any medicine to help it?
I am thinking about applying to Interventional radiology and I think in a previous video I heard you say you went to residency at North Carolina. I am just curious which hospital specifically you attended?
Unfortunately that’s where we are in this work people would rather video things or watch than actually help. So a video where some guy got shot and he died, nobody held him or told him it was going to be okay. They just took videos of the man while he died. I’m not saying they could have saved him, but they could have held him.
I actually thought it was funny that you mentioned tik tok. I follow you there also. I enjoy your videos. They are very informative and not boring
Absolutely, I believe you need to have a video on fibroids. I was never told anything about my fibroids. So I would like to know
Just FYI for people, fleeing the scene of an accident is a felony, don't do it. That was an accident that turned into a criminal action. Accident easy to handle, felony not so much.
There's no "I" in Team, or fellow.
Also was wondering if you do g and j tube changes? If so then if you have any tips or tricks that would be great
Would love to see the video on uterine artery embolisation.
I think you should do one on the fibroids and another one on brachytherapy as treatment for endometrial cancer in conjunction with surgery and as a solo treatment.
Do you have staff present with you when you are called in overnight. Or you are all by yourself as fellow?
I handle all the calls and if there is an emergency I call my attending to come in and also 1 tech and 1 nurse that are also on call
Thanks for the response. Nice work! Keep it up!
Why'd you call the paramedics if you're a doctor? Not being mean just genuinely curious about what they could possibly do that you can't as a doctor hahaha xoxox
Paramedics are gonna be there to transport if the patient needs it. And depending on the severity of the mans injuries, the paramedics can intervene cause they have the equipment.
Great video Dr, Cellini and I loved the ending to this video. You are a champ and a God send.
¡Yaaaaay new video!
such an inspiration! Great job Dr. Cellini!
It's a sad situation when people take off AND the creep who hit him.
Man, you are a champ. Going through all the days on call! You’re a superhero!
I love fall weather too! I cant stand sweating so summer time is miserable for me lol
How many procedures do you do/scrub in on an average in a single day?
Yes because in my early thirties I had to have a hysterectomy due to fibroids. I lost my chance to have a child. Now twenty years later it makes me very sad. I also had three times 2010 2017 2020 multiple pulmonary embolisms in both main arteries feeding the lungs and then smaller ones throughout all five lobes. No hereditary gene mutation except MTHFR C677T Homozygous. Now I have pneumonia for the first time. No risk factors, haven’t had the flu since my twenties and last cold was in 2008.
Landin Kiss 💋 😘 JoAnna love Landin you Kiss 💋
Yes please for uterine fibroid embolizaton video. I’m suffering from fibroids and am told by one OBGYN to have this procedure another told me I was too young.
for the uterine fibroid embolisation you should collaborate with mama doctor jones
I think there's a term for it, like diffused responsibility? The more people that witness someone needing help, the less likely they are to help because they assume that someone else will step in. Ive seen videos of social experiments like that with groups of people.
Love your content! Sending you good vibes from Croatia 🇭🇷 ❤️🤍💙
Hvala!
Dr. Cellini Nema na čemu 🤗
My dad lives in Zadar! I live in the US and go there to visit throughout the year! 💕🇭🇷
Anyone know what shoes those are in the thumbnail?
Dear Dr come to Islamic religion
What would be better is seeing the procedure.
My uncle is a dr and just came off of sabaticle
Yes, Please share your Uterine Artery Fibroid Embolization Video. This will be very informative, please refrain from rambling about your personal life, that’s not on the Uterine Artery Embolization topic. Thankyou, I appreciate your wisdom.
I told you before....wear a helmet! You’re too smart and have worked too hard to damage your smarticles! -just a concerned mom to of premed! Sorry if I’m annoying🤦♀️
How much u paid for fellowship by gov
And how much u earn after fellowship??? i.e. after complete doctor???
Your form of basic: Pumpkin spice latte! haha! My form of basic: black tea made with a microwave :) Ok it's pretty interesting videos thanks.
I was born in Beth Israel Hospital and raised in the Lower East Side - then moved to Brooklyn when I was 9 yrs old. I felt like I was on a walking tour of NYC - and the subway (don't miss that). I remember those fire escapes, rounded steps on private and 2-story homes where we played Stoop Ball. I escaped to southern California many years ago. I noticed that there are so many tall buildings -- and looks like NYC has been under construction for decades. I'm a host for travel nurses on FF --- and now have my 4th travel nurse who's from Boston - and she'll be going home in 3 weeks. She's working out of 5 hospitals and is on-call. Then I'll be looking for a 5th travel nurse. I so admire all of the people in the medical field -- working so hard, crazy hours - but I know you love what you do. These are difficult times due to the virus --- and I want to thank you and others for taking care of us.
Thank you. Keep your focus!
He definitely makes 7 figures
That reminds me of the (bystander effect?), everyone sees but figure someone else is taking care of it so they don’t need to. But thank god you actually stopped and assumed responsibility bc who knows.
I would love to see more fibroid content! I just had a complete hysterectomy at 63. HUGE fibroid and 6hrs of surgery. Laparoscopic and robotic but they ended up having to cut me anyway! I’m good now! 😃 Yale New Haven Hospital is the best!
N
Dr. Cellini, you probably got this question alot, but im curious myself and your opinion, whats your thoughts about covid? Im very active person, I enjoy going to the gym and I work in a restaurant, but now that the cases are going up in Ontario im getting scared, should I reduce my time going to the gym?
Can you explain why you go to different hospitals? Is it because it's NYC or is it common in certain specialties in medicine? Love the vids!
you know?..interesting thought i have here.. is this really how it has to go... 7 days straight on call?...
after hearing you out at the end... im thinking is this really how the system has to operate/work/function? i get it, a Doctor's job is sacrificial. But how about being humane. Please dont start feeling sorry for self after rading this Dr. Cellini, it wont help you...but who does that arranging?.. is there any way around it?.. working something for the better...
if anyone can answer..
whats the reason for such lengthy on calls?
So in other words, your clients dont wear sneakers or comfortable shoes to avoid pulmonary embolisms and possibly walk too much or sit for too long. No Monsters that affects the hart. Its like a pulmonary embolism. Doesn't your hospital have rooms for doctors to crash and perhaps be on call while at the hospital.
