    Hello Lady Marilyn
Trombone were 1880’s - to 1930’s then used again in Europe from the 1960’s 😊

Thanks again for sharing your information. Most of this information I shared in this video are based on USA pieces. Trombone clasp didn't really start being used in the US until after the turn of the century. I appreciate you expanding on this video and expanding the information to include European clasps also. I love how we learn from sharing information. Such a wonderful positive community we have.

26:20 Pierre Bex style the brooch is from the 1960’s-70’s

Thank you for your information. I actually was thinking this piece might have been a Catherine Popesco who began in the 1980s. While in Paris Popesco found a warehouse with a lot of antique molds from the period of 1900-1930s. So it is a very confusing piece. However, after researching Pierre Bex, and seeing his pieces were unsigned and I know Popesco is always signed however the originals from the 1910's to 30's were also unsigned. I was reading Pierre Bex was so good even the experts had trouble telling it apart from Art Deco pieces. Thank you again for sharing and spurring my research further. to learn. We appreciate you.

They used Sterling in the 1940’s because base metals were used for the war effort.

Thanks again for your information. Yes they had to be creative in the 40s as base metals was on rations..

Thanks for watching. And sharing and including your knowledge. Again we all grow from exchanging information. I get asked what I look for all the time and I am no expert by any means. And I learn more each and every day. That is why I kept saying in the video, the best way to learn is to go look and feel the pieces. As what we see on the screen is by no means comparable to how much we can learn from the feel and touch of the piece. How much we can see by the weight and quality of the piece that tells the true age.
