Nice video. I have a 2024 and find the front suspension to be too bouncy as it bob's up / down when I come to a stop in town at a stop light or stop sign or over irregularities on the road. I am considering the Motoz Tractionator GPS or Adventure tires once I get rid of the Metzeler Karoo Street original tires here in N. America that are rate 70% street 30% off-road but they are not good off-road. From my research you, we could get up to +20,000 kms out of the GPS tires. Motoz tires have stiff sidewalls and are stiff overall which really helps avoid punctures which I like.
Thanks Martin; a good honest review on the tyres; The Honda Transalpine is a great bike and I did want one but just too bloody high in the saddle. I now have one bike and it does all that I want to do, day ride, weekender and touring ; David....Adelaide....Triumph Scrambler 1200X 2024...one bike for all.
On my second set after 14k from the first rear. Great tyres, trying "off rd" direction this time. Mainly because I never never ever ever want to be a "one direction" guy.
Given that I ride conservatively, as good in the wet as anything I have used before. The change in rotation has been of little impact. Maybe a little more drive on loose surface and feels the same everywhere else.
GPS rear tyre is very good both on and off road, the front on the other hand is ok as new but it loses all grip off road as it wears and i had to replace it before the rear went out. This is why so many uses DV as front.
Nobody rides them in the rain on you tube. You should try it and let me know… I keep sliding in front and rear… so dangerous ! Lost all my confidence in these when wet roads
How much did they slug you to supply and fit them? I went for the dual venture on the front as I like more grip in the dirt and I’m happy to compromise on the road, but I’m happy with them on the road too. Gps in 50/50 on the rear is still very capable off road too.
@@HardPackedADV GC cycles in Nailsworth are probably the best in Adelaide. Wrong side of town for you if course. I think I paid closer to $500 for mine, with tubes.

Add a few turns of preload to the front fork

Good choice!
Thanks for your timely review! I am just in the process of considering tire upgrades for my new Transalp, and the GPS's were on my short list. Cheers!
Glad it was helpful!
I wouldn’t put the gps on the front.
A great rear tyre but if you’re doing any dirt they aren’t the best option imo.
Awesome, I ordered a set of these for my TA on the weekend
Any issues with the quickshifter when adding these tires?

How are the tyres in wet please? How do u find the rear in the other direction please?

I run both GPS on the front and rear on the DR, I can't fault them . Cheers 🍻
Nice 👍
What r they like on wet roads please?
@@holden3083 no complaints in the wet 👌

$600 AUD including disposal of the old tyres.
@@HardPackedADV probably a bit higher than the independents down the road but not too bad for a dealer I guess.
Yeah I thought that it was a bit high, I should have shopped around.

I just put a GPS on the back and a Dual Venture on the front of the 1250GS.
They get good reviews, so we'll see how they go over time :)
I did consider a Dual adventure on the front, it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the tyres once you have some distance on them.
How does the combo go please? Especially on wet roads cheers.

How are they performing ?
@@TheZakkmylde very happy with the tyres. Not so good in mud, but in reality this bike won’t be ridden in a lot of deep mud.
I've heard these tires cause issues with the quickshifter?
Hi, I have not heard that. I can't see how they would. But I am interested in hearing about any issues.
