The spring is better & the newer model has cut backs so Kitchen Aid removed the spring for costs. This review has so much important information was easy to listen to. Thanks
In the United States we have guy call Mr mixer that sells all sorts of cool products for KitchenAid mixers and has repair tutorials as well. He also repairs mixers from people all over the country for those that are not the DIY type Auntie has a quick install spring and washer for sale.
Hi potatopotatoeOG, I have attached the link to the follow-up video for the Kitchenaid Mixer. Hope you will enjoy it. ruclips.net/video/GQ_x8LPwURs/видео.html
I bought one just a week ago and it is a quality product. I just need practice to use it because it is my first mixer and not much off a cook lol thanks for the information.
Great to hear! You will have a lot of fun cooking with this mixer. It does take a little time to learn how to get the best results from using it but am sure you will figure it out. Thanks Common Item🙂
Oh 😮 I see, then can I safely assume you have the newer model to this tilt head mixer? Hope you are able to find a solution to the issue. Cheers bobsimple8291
I just bought one of these in a pawn shop for $75 I love it and thank you for your Insight, I learned a lot about this machine... Have a Happy Thanksgiving and a very very Merry Christmas once again thank you
Hello everyone. I love your review. I was very happy that my husband bought me an KA Artisan 5KSM175PSEAC. After two months, i realised that there are not existing the carbon brush access right and left. I have already read somewhere that the newest models they don't have easy access to carbon brushes. So, my question is, that was a bad purchase? What if it need to replace the carbon brushes? There is no way? It costs 600 euros, extremely expensive , we live in Greece, but I wanted it so much, as I thought what was easy to fix, repair ech and because it supposed to last for years, investment like... Starting to regret... In the last trip to USA for the Christmas holidays, I saw the Classic in the Walmart for 295$, Shock... We already had spent so much for a machine that maybe is too complicated. Please help
Hi @anavarna, thanks for reaching out. Based on your model given there should be a black plastic on either the left or right that you can remove to replace the carbon brushes. But in the event that you don't then you may have to remove the entire metal housing to access the carbon brush. Honestly, I had mine for many years already and make bread regularly, you should not need to replace your carbon brushes anytime soon, so not to worry too much about it. Enjoy using the mixer to create your recipes and don't overload it then you should be fine for a very long time. Hope that helps :)
In the US we used to have the spring and a small washer on KitchenAid but we never had that little cup thing. I always found it fascinating that the UK versions had that extra piece. Fortunately I got an older model with the spring. Some people think the spring prevents here attachment hole on the beater from hollowing out in becoming loose.
@@AmazingKitchen I agree that 300 watts is plenty of power for a KitchenAid mixer. I've never used any of the week or model so I can really say I'm good or bad there.
When making bread in large batches, I can feel the machine is at its limit in power so I can only guess that the 325W will just be enough to keep it from operating at the limit. 300W is truly sufficient.🙂👍
Thank you Jigsawsg for your keen hearing, I forgot to mention that the Hobart Co all started in Troy, Ohio, USA in 1897. At the moment of making this video, I thought this important info was included, but was my bad. Appreciate the constructive criticism, it truly helps me on improving my future videos.🙂👍
Since I make a lot of bread I have chosen the 5KSM7580X in Onyx Black. Well I got a great offer so the colour was not a real choice ;). It is a beast. Do not be fooled by the "measly" 500W motor. It got a kick and does even big batches of yeast dough. I hope it will last me some time as the warranty is a nice 5 years.
Thanks for sharing. The mixer you got is good and it should last you a long time to come. Kitchenaid makes good mixers, and the quality is like by many. I believe you will have a lot of fun making bread and other batter with that mixer. Thanks @-fazik-3713
Hi dec z, I don't use an extension cord but I supposed it would not be a problem if the extension cord is of the highest quality and meets the electrical requirement of the country.🙂
Very informative! Thanks for sharing! I’ve just got myself one, which is the 5KSM125, May I know what’s the diff btw mine and yours?? And I’m still wondering if I should top up with extended 4 years warranty offer by the authorised dealer (it comes with only 1 year warranty by KitchenAid it self). I wish you can give me some advice! Thank you 😊
Hi nyukshan, glad to know you have gotten yourself a mixer. There are't much different between yours and mine except for some colour choices & accessories inclusion when purchasing. The most important to me is the power and the size of the bowl being the same. As for warranty, I usually do not go for the extended warranty because these machines are built like a tank, unless you plan to use it in your business, then I would go the the extra warranty. If you take care of the mixer & don't over use it or allow it to over heat then you should be fine. I hope that helps. Enjoy making all your baking treats.
Hi E H, I can only guess that there is a demand in the States for higher power units due to the type of recipes. They probably make a lot of pizza or sticky dough that is larger quantity. As for me, I almost never make less than 5 cups of flour whenever I use that machine. Add the eggs and other ingredients, it is almost to the max of what the machine can handle, in fact, I think I should get a larger machine in the future. Another reason is probably the states makes less desserts compared to EU. Bread recipes requires more power and is tougher on the machine. Thanks E H. 🙂
“Every household owns one.” Literally never met anyone who owns one. I only met about 3 people who even bake. Given half of the world’s households don’t even have electricity, I’d say it’s more likely that about one household in 10,000 owns one.
Thanks for this excellent review 🙏
