Honestly the card pool is a bit too large. The only real hit for this deck would be some lands? Though cutting its consistence for mana would hurt a lot
I really believe WotC is a bit stuck in their ways with MtG or they just don't care enough about digital to change anything. Usually in MtG there's rule 0 and more competitive environments used to be just tournaments where there's stakes and you play much fewer games than on online ladder, so busted stuff or unfun play patters don't matter as much, i.e. in tournaments you're there to win, not necessarily to have fun matches. Whereas in online ladder constructed you have a very cut throat environment because no rule 0, everyone netdecks and metas get solved very quickly these days. But it is also quite low stakes so you are still mainly there to have *fun playing the matches* . At least that should be the main motivation. But I feel like WotC don't really design sets with online constructed experience in mind, *especially* not Bo1. Which is a shame, cause in principle I really like MtG the most out of all the TCGs but online constructed bo1 is all I'll really ever play. For an example of how it could be different one could actually look to HS where yes it's not all rosey either at the moment, but in you have (ironically) much fewer completely oneside games decided by RNG and you play the game for a few more turns (usually, and I'm not talking about controi snoozefests where one side lost 5 turns ago but they're still playing), than has been my experience with MtGA for the past 3 years.
Will be a hard time when you not like this kind of decks play or play against - as Standard is 3 years now they will be here a long time - and the next sets must always be "better, faster, stronger" - otherwise the cards would not be sold...So: buckle up.... (or change the game)
AT 8:16 instead of you playing the 2nd hero u could have killed him by not playing the 2nd hero and saving remake and killing him during his upkeep since he would get the 8th counter before it dies
I never liked hearing people complain about the meta and broken deks, but now I gotta give it to them. This is nonsense. There's no variety, all decks look the same, the exact same, if you want to win or at least not loose every single game. And then again, new cards only deepen that. I hope this changes and we get to see many different deks work again
I've been MTG curious for a bit, partly due to CGB collabs, partly nostalgia (I last played from unlimited to 6th ed). I have to say, the 'new player experience' is utter garbage. it's just a blizzard of shit being thrown at you and dying on turn 4 every time without time to even read the spells your opponent is casting. then you think 'well i'll just work towards a better deck' and find out that's going to take months. why the hell would anyone bother?
Most people bother by just looking up a deck with a high winrate and rolling with it. Brewing is a dream. Trust me, I tried it. Even though this is digital only, there's so many cards and so many sets, priced so aggressively, that it's very difficult to build more than one deck per set. It doesn't help that for whatever reason, they reduced packs to 8 cards instead of 15. Their reason was "too many cards can confuse players".
Another Overt Go Red video? Truly it's spooky season.

My stats in Platin with this deck:
On the Play: 5/6
On the Draw: 3/9
lol welcome to mono red (or monored with extra steps) where you can bongle every play and still be force-fed wins by wizzards algorithm
Is this the beginning of the end of CGB playing MTG?
4 years of this. yay...
Gonna need a 1 mana discard a card exile target creature real soon
Boros Brothers, come! These heathenous control mages wont crucify themselves!
You either die a hero, or live long enough to become the vilain
The absolute state of best of one...
Wait, that’s a 1 mana destroy any creature?!?!?!?!?!!???!?!?!??! And an uncommon?$?$?’vh
So, you doing a new light paws brawl deck soon?
I appreciate your content playing in the background whilst I do my daily Arena task. On some real shit, though, Boros be some trash ass shit.
Just played against this for the first time. Absolute awful experience.
Tell us how you REALLY feel CGB XD
the power creep is hurting my eyes
At 22:20 how was he able to target his own creature when it had hexproof?
Because that's... not what hexproof does? It stops your opponents from targeting your permanents. It doesn't care about what kind of spell it is.
Golgari midrange is still strong. Very versatile.
@cgb what happened to your brawl videos??
Well can’t wait to for them to just ban a random control card to fix the meta.
Will be a hard time when you not like this kind of decks play or play against - as Standard is 3 years now they will be here a long time - and the next sets must always be "better, faster, stronger" - otherwise the cards would not be sold...So: buckle up.... (or change the game)
This is my jam
You might have to migrate to best of 3
Then we can see some real magic
Show us on the doll where Aggro hurt you
I quit arena when embercleave just killed you from double digit live totals. I was told it got better. This does not seem better at all.
I think control can still win as long as your control deck has the capacity to go aggro when it needs to be!
AT 8:16 instead of you playing the 2nd hero u could have killed him by not playing the 2nd hero and saving remake and killing him during his upkeep since he would get the 8th counter before it dies
Somehow this feels more braindead than playing modern yugioh
It’s time to rotate mountains out of standard.
I never liked hearing people complain about the meta and broken deks, but now I gotta give it to them. This is nonsense. There's no variety, all decks look the same, the exact same, if you want to win or at least not loose every single game. And then again, new cards only deepen that. I hope this changes and we get to see many different deks work again
lose*
I can feel how much pain this brings you but thank you for sharing this list. It's really nice to see budget standard options.
Where is the 1 Mana card to win the game...?
why all these people I watch play never use planes walkers
