Crooky’s transfer notebook consists of rumours from online 😂
He denied the Solanke transfer to Tottenham too lol
Stealing a living
Me and my dad have a shorthand for fanciful and completely mental transfer predictions.
"I heard on The Metro..." I think that's Crook's primary source most of the time.
....Dunno if you heard. Mbappe might be going to Brentford in January... Read it in The Metro....
No it consists of watching Fabrizio romanos twitter account

It was quite evident on Sunday vs Brentford that playing the high press with CBs on the halfway line is not Andersen's strong point. He's too slow. Based on that and 2 years left on the contract, 30 million is good business with a view to replacing him with someone who fits Glasner's ideas.
Guehi for 70 million you surely have to take. We played without him for half of the season last year anyway.
Yeah these are both true but this is all happening far to late in the window for us to reinvest
No way are they worth that. Wan Bissaka sold to United for £50 million. Five years later sold for £15 million. Good defender but couldn’t find a decent cross in a Cathedral.
Man U coaches couldn’t teach him that
@@markdaniels2200 Wan Bissaka was never worth £50m that's what it says. Good athlete, good defensively but doesn't offer anything offensively. Bad scouting in my opinion. For 50m you'd expect the whole package. To be able to defend and attack and be athletic all in one otherwise he's not worth some of the biggest money ever for a full back
Ben White cost £50m too. He was a better buy. He can contribute in an attacking sense. He's not really a RB, is a bit slow but a clever player that reads the game well. One of those that doesn't really fit any position completely but is good enough to adapt. He's almost a CM, almost a CB but doesn't quite fit either. They found a place for him at RB and because he has more of an all round game he's a much better buy at 50m. Any scouting team that think Mason Mount was a good option at that money is extremely suspect imo. Were they not watching the last few years?
@@finfog4590 You would have thought that by the time United bought him, when he was 21/22 that he would be able to cross a football. If you don’t know how to cross a ball by 21/22 then there are definitely issues. It’s not like he was an 18 year old Ronaldo, & not delivering the ball to the striker/s. Just goes to demonstrate that players are very much over inflated. Not their fault but is just the agents & selling clubs doing their jobs…
@@TheDaveman75he just helped set up souceks goal and he started the attack 😂
Crystal Palace are not a club what are trying to compete, they are a club ran like a business to make money off players that’s why they are selling both centre backs
Oh is that why we did the double on united?! Or maybe the times we beat city. Or maybe when we ended Liverpools title race at anfield? You're totally right! 😂😂😂
❤️💙🦅🔥
@@trundlepufpendants You just proved his point. Moat clubs strive for trophies, or improvement... you're happy with the odd victory.
@@voetbal12I mean only 3/4 English clubs can actually compete for titles, let’s just say city Liverpool and Arsenal. I doubt palace fans expect to be competing for trophies. A top tenth place finish yeah good season, but then I could say the same about man united finishing 8th and winning an fa cup, good season for them.
They have a new manager who will bring his own ideas. Guehi has hardly played for the new manager and Dougie Freedman is a shrewd cookie in the transfer market. I can see Palace getting Chalobah from Chelsea as a replacement
@@trundlepufpendants Mid table achievements
Palace pretty much confirming their status as a developmental club
Let’s just see how this plays out. Parish has been a fantastic chairman and with Freedman as sporting director, I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up laughing by the end of it.
Why would Eze want to stay at Palace is the real question
Yes selling great players why wood u want to stay go and win things mate let the owner make millions from u mate good luck in the further go back to QPR no joking mate
Why sold best players why wood u not want to go good luck to that young man
Newcastle should just buy Maxime Lacroix ahead of Palace instead of Guehi and then spend the the rest on a quality RW. 70mil for Guehi is madness.
As a Hammer im quite relieved that Palace seem to be selling their best players, but i do feel for the fans...just as you think your club is going to the next step and competing for top half, this happens.
@@C84__84Shows how hard it is to compete for top half consistently
@@C84__84check the table last season Einstein
@@the0nlytrueprophet942 It is extremely difficult. There's a lot of teams in the same situation all competing to try and push for the European spots. I think West Ham, Villa and Newcastle are in a better situation because the wage bills are a lot bigger but there's also Brighton, Palace, Fulham, maybe Brentford, Wolves that make it very competitive as well
@@C84__84playing them at the weekend
Not football all about money these days where will The money go from sale of players to Steve I bet who gave him club he never bought it how did he get the club
But why does ‘Crooky’ look like someone’s left a whoopsy under his pillow and he can’t suss out where the smell is coming from?
It's crazy how the media always try to downplay Newcastle business.
It seems they are told to but every other Club they big the Clubs up.
Except for when they announced that we were in trouble with PSR before the sales of Anderson and Minteh
@Chez114 Yeah to use that as an excuse for all the Clubs not buying porky Bas×××××.
Crystal Palace are not in Premiership to win it, but to remain in it. With a tiny ground and no sponsors, the only way they can fund the salaries that allow them to compete in the EPL is to sell players at a profit to offset the monthly operating losses.
I wonder if Jim White attended the premier league launch ?
Think the transfer window should shut when the season starts tbf
Agreed T/f window(s) should be off season.
The real question is, when will Simon "bake into his thinking" that he's an absolute tosspot?
Strange decisions by Palace owners!! The manager can’t be happy with this whatsoever. Losing ur best two experienced CBs is baffling!
Maybe they have great, young guys waiting to step in.
Chadi Riad and Chris Richards still in the squad. Lacroix linked and until he's fit Clyne has stepped in previously under Glasner.
It does seem a bit stupid. Judging by the quality of their recruitment over the past 4 or 5 years though I'd imagine that they've identified some really good replacements. If they stay well clear of relegation and make a few bob they'll feel it was worth it.
@@Rayunicorn1 maybe but those are young inexperienced players and you lose a few games in a row with younger inexperienced players and jobs will surely be on the line. Already lost last week and play west ham this week so should be interesting!!
Club size of palace to get like 150mil from 3 sales would be brilliant for them and allow Glasner to build his own team. Risky but understandable considering their priorities.
Stick on the subtitles and go to 39 seconds

OMG😂
Toon fan - Parish is an ab idiot if he sells Anderson & Guehi....& Olise gone. Plus his awful public handling of the Guehi deal. He'll rip the heart out of a team on the up. Gutted for you Palace fans
Awful public handling of Geuhi deal 😂. What because he didn’t just let Newcastle have him at the first offer?! Like I said, let’s see how this plays out - confident Palace will be more than fine
Glasner played CB and is acquiring his favorite ones. We'll be fine. Gutted tho cuz I quite liked both andersen and guehi
@@trundlepufpendants Yes, they’ve been brilliant in so many ways, but also not perfect. Wonder if we’ll be looking for centre backs that can have more of an aerial threat and physical presence both at the back and up front? Neither are convincing in that area
@@nicktimo11'Like I said'. This is very strange since this is your first message in here.
what?! 70 million for guehi, the man's a genius. good player, but 70m is a bit much. no club would turn down that money. no. club.
Andersen great centre half
Great player yes time to go now money !money 💰 joke of a club now cash is king with the owners
Thank god Jim let us know about Algeria…Top radio there
A club with no real ambition and most of the fans just seem to accept that.
They’ll get to Christmas struggling for results, sack the manager and get a new one who’ll steady the ship and they’ll finish 12th. Rinse and repeat.
Simon understands revenue. Don’t let title fool you.
Andersen to a direct rival, makes no sense whatsoever. 2 points seperated them last season why are you letting them close the gap 😂
Selling both cbs is a bold move when already selling olise. I’m sure with olise they couldn’t really keep him and guehi is big money but Andersen as well. Could just derail all the momentum they had at back end of last season. Leaves them a week to plug the holes.
This is the unfortunate reality for the “smaller” clubs. They’ve got no chance to compete.
They do stop selling your best players let's see a British team only get rid of non British players we have players out there but sit on the bench week in week out
Small club sells good players. That's the cycle
Just because it's Simons old club he's trying to make it look like he wouldn't sell.
I’m a West ham fan & I like Palace, they play great football it’s a shame they’ll lose their best players.
Alex Crook just wings it!Just checks out internet basically gossip.Brilliant work if you can get it.Also so borrrrrrring to listen too!
Crystal Palace are still playing Will Hughes. I do not think they have any ambition whatsoever.

newcsstle should move on from guehi... £55 max for me
55 quid? Seems a bit too cheap
@@gettobythesea brilliant reply 🤦♂️🤦♂️
they want to go to bigger clubs and earn more money
Because checking the number of goals they let in last season with these two Glassner wants a better pairing..Guehi is just a lucky ordinary player..
No just other team have better British players let's see a British team without non British players
Clearly there is no intent of CP to actually win anything. Their win is just surviving in the PL and making profit. A bit of a waste of a season ticket year in year out if you ask me.
Win what exactly, they are midtable team
Love it. Up the mags. Unlucky jordan keep been bitter
Palace played some promising football at the end of the season, the manager hopefully will have enough to work with
A joke for palace to do
Crook is a charlatan
So is Simon and so is Jim
07:48 The story that Jim is referring to if i've been informed correctly, is one which involves two bottles of cheap whisky and a bird with big knockers named Lima
70 million for guehi is ludicrous, decent player don’t get me wrong but 70 million , you could buy a world class centre back for that price
Don't think Glasner will stay beyond his deal, and who can blame him!
Olise, Anderson, Guehi?? Bye bye Palace.
And Eze next?
@@gregfoley6499 Then they really would be relegation fodder.
Newcastle with go with a 3 at the back with Guehi
Chelsea to Palace: you're never walk alone 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Agree totally with TradeLikeMac's assessment. Andersen also didn't look comfortable in the pre-season tour games. At 32, that fee is good business for CPFC. Guehi on the other hand is a valuable asset and Parrish is right to make any suitor pay through the nose but, ultimately, one has to look at the realities and acknowledge that, if the player does not accept a new contract, he'll be a free agent next year and the club will not only lose their potential resale income from him but have to write off whatever remains of the fee they paid to get him. It's business vs football as always. And, Simon bloody Jordan, business being what it is, they wouldn't have "wanted to sell the two" as you suggest. It's simply that the business case overwhelms the development ambitions every time for clubs in this position - as no doubt it did during your own stellar reign at Selhurst Park...
hes 28 and has 2 years left on his contract what you talking about.
It’s not often a club like palace gets the opportunity to get big money for there players, it doesn’t come around often, and when it does they grab it with both hands
Silly talk they sell all there best players it's all about money with Steve p
If Palace kept their players they'd be qualifying for Europe this year. Getting to the next level.
Must be so disheartening for their fans. What's the point in supporting them? A cup run?

I don't think Jim reads the comments.
Jim's just consulting the imaginary world in his head as usual.
Given Alex Crooks determination that Spurs weren’t in for Solanke I would take every word that comes out his mouth with a pinch of salt.
Honestly, it’s wild to see Palace selling their key players like this! 🤔 They really need a solid plan if they wanna stay competitive and not just be a stepping stone. Let’s hope they know what they’re doing. 🤷♂️💔
No go down this year u can not sell good players and bring in shi t cheap players put the young boys in keep buying non British players why do clubs do it have players from age 10 then get to 18 off they go heart broken because I keep buying non British players it's true stop buying non British players give British boys ago even if u go down and I will this season sell 3 great players let see an all British team like arsenal lol
No go down this year
If palace do sell both defenders then we deserve to be in a relegation fight
Yes they do then buy more.non British players so Britons boys sit on bench give young boys a go palace
Jordan's absolutely BAFFLED here.
Can you imagine Simon Jordan and Jeremy Kyle doing a podcast together?
Stop it. You need Michael.
I'd rather eat my own hands.
Be great tv as well
Palace will be fine. Great coach, run well, already got Riad in they’ll find another CB
Alex exclusive Crook 🙄
Simon is clearly trying to push the narrative that if he still owned Palace he wouldn't sell these players.
Are chelsea not getting some of that Guehi money? 😋
One word......Money 💰💰💰
Yes money
Those two are NEVER worth £100m!!!!!! Absolutely right to cash in!!!
They did not sell both !!!!
Palace aren’t a big club and one of the smaller clubs in London who do well finding hidden gems and selling them on for a higher fee. I don’t know what Simon moaning about
What is the money going on your pocket no mate joke of a club now sorry to say family of palace fan no more for me
No Zaha, no Olise, no Guéhi, no Andersen, no Gallagher (loan) and possibly also no Eze.
Relegation candidates.
But Oliver Glasner is there, and the new boys might be great...
Yes hope they do then sell all non British players save them sitting on bench if they do not play how can they get better sell all non British players th at all 22 clubs we may get 12 good players to win world cup non British player must go from Lee teams let's see British boys playing for the top side s
I trust in the process and in Glasner ... Watch this space ❤️💙💪
Why does he call Olise “the other kid”? How can’t the massive Crystal Palace fan call him by his name? 🤔
Steve parish ready to tear down the team as soon as they get a manager capable of taking them to the next level. Brought in enough money to be able to keep hold of the rest until the end of the season. Not like they’ve gone and brought in class players this season in preparation
With that sort of money coming in, they could build a good team a bit like Brighton are doing now with the money from player sales the last few years. It takes a bit of time but it's the best method in the long term. Just the way it is. If a smaller team does well, the best players leave to bigger clubs and wages but at least there's plenty of cash to invest in exciting new talent that will hopefully also be worth a lot in the future. The trick eventually will be to qualify for Eurooe AND convince everyone to stay on that journey but unless bigger wages are offered it'll never happen and if they are and the wage bill skyrockets there could be big financial trouble ahead. It's the balancing act of a mid-size PL club, so developing and then selling players for big fees is probably the best way forward for long-term sustainability even though it's quite annoying to lose your better players. At least it means there will be some exciting players coming in too
It is frustrating though. Brighton finished 6th the season before, qualified for the Europa league then promptly lost 2 brilliant midfielders in Caceido and MacAllister and weren't the same team the next season. It was like going into a race without an engine. I think they genuinely would have had a good chance in that competition if they had kept them. It's taken a season to rebuild but they are buying in quality players now and it will be interesting to see how they go this year.
@@TheDaveman75 I agree with you to a degree however doing it 1 week before the window shuts is taking the tea and biscuits to be fair if they expected bids to come in they should have preempted it and made moves earlier in the window in my opinikn
@@Hawkins123 It is exactly what happened to Brighton last season. They knew from January that they would lose Caceido, didn't replace him effectively or MacAllister. It is frustrating because you just start to get a good team together then it gets immediately dismantled. It's taken a year but Brighton are finally getting back to where they were a bit. I think the only way in the long term is to keep reinvesting the money on good players and get more and more quality in the squad so that the loss of one or two doesn't completely derail the season.
No one wants to pay 80 million eze he had a 60 million release clause and no one triggered it lol

Let's just clear up the Eze contract, shall we! He does have the same release clauses as Olise but there's a deadline for those to be met, and that deadline was Friday 16th of August the day the season started, so anyone wanting him would have to offer £100m for Palace to even consider, considering we've already sold a few players, we don't need the money.
