Thank you so much. I am an installer for 25 years and this one stumped me they were not specific on where to find that function in the air handler. I should’ve assumed it was the thermostat. Thank you so much for making this video.
Thanks for this -- the process of configuring the thermostat to behave "as it should" is both counterintuitive and obscure. A state only a couple of firmware teams could love :)
Caleb! This was just what I think I was looking for. We have a brand new unit and thermostat and yet it wasn’t cooling or house to the set temperature. I found the thermostat instructions relatively useless. Thank you for this video!
Hey Caleb, I work for Fujitsu general America. I have used this video countless times to help techs set the thermo sensor! Thank you for this great tutorial! Can you make one for setting static pressure on ducted units also, I have a lot of problems walking guys through that process!
Hey there, sorry for not responding sooner. Unfortunately I no longer work for a Fujitsu dealer. But if you are interested in me creating more content for Fujitsu hit me up!
I have this remote and 4 of the simple UTY-RSRY remotes. I can also get into the function settings 42 and 48 with the simple remote. Is that all I need to do one those as well? There is also a F1-07 setting that the manual says to change however that function is prohibited on 3 of my 4 RSRY units. Seems quite odd…
How can you get through the operation prohibited? I have a Simple Remote Controller UTY-RSRY and can’t change the sensor to enable. The manual is useless. Any advice would be appreciated.
Mine doesn’t show RC sensor setting? I did not power down the unit thought from outside. Would that cause me not to see that function? Mine is set at 62 but reading 80 on room temp.
OK, so just in case anybody runs into what I just ran into I had to go into the settings and there was actually a setting that asked me if I wanted to display room temp setting and I had to turn it from invisible to visible.
I have the same thermostat, but it does not display the room temperature. Is this something that needs to be enabled? I was able to do the settings that you showed and the video, but it did not show room temperature.

Thanks Caleb for most informative video, you really saved my bacon. Not even the installer couldn’t help me.

Thank you for posting this - just what I was looking for. I couldn't get our new unit to recognize the RC sensor only !!!

Thank you so much for this. This solved multiple issues, one where the temperature wasn’t being shared over to my cool plug for coolautomation
This was a great video and helped me solve a frustrating problem. Thanks so much for creating and sharing -:)

I have this in my house upstairs. I want to change to an app-based controller, like NEST. Is this even possible?
This was extremely informative, thank you very much
I need helping setting the temp to auto, ex- my heater will keep running even after it hits the set temp. The fan is on auto however.
I have the same exact issue. Did you ever figure out how to fix it?
No 🙁 I had an hvac tech come out through my home warranty. He didn’t seem to understand what I was explaining.

Did you figure out the function prohibited on the simple remote? I’m having the same issue ugh
What if I don’t know code to change settings on thermostat
If there are any other frustrating settings worth changing a video about that would be great.

having some issues with the temp settings as the cooler is intermittent rather than constantly blowing cold air. The unit is not set to auto
So I did this and I do now see the temperature probe with the thermostat symbol, but it still doesn’t show the temperature. Any advice?

Yes it needs to be enabled, I had the same issue. Go to menu> initial setting > display item setting > room temp > visible. Hope this helps.
Yes this has to be enabled.
Where is the outdoor condenser
what is your remote model number?
Setting won’t stay on 01
Same with my thermostat, it gets right back to [ - ].
Its days setting is prohibited
