I've always been a fan of Babymonster, since pre-debut (Im a fan of most yg groups) so I was extremely excited when BV debuted and was confused when ppl were hating on them. Yeah they do give off the same vibe but there's obviously diffrences
The producer of Badvillain’s title track Badvillain has a history of using classical strings with hip hop beat. And badvillain’s theme is center around the villainous theme. The hand sign that people claim are similar goes all the way back to american rock and metal. So no Badvillain did not copy Babymonster.
inhye was my main pick on mtg and every single track was a massive eat (my fav is hurricane and +82). yall dont know the difference between copying and a concept for ONE song, also imo they both but their own vibe through it like bv has a more futuristic y3k kinda vibe where as sheesh has a princess kinda vibe. for once a rant video was actually enjoyable. keep up the great work!
the thing is when bv dropped the individual introduction videos they had the same bg music like bm's batter up individual teaser and again the group photos of bv which again resemble with baemon group photos isn't it too similar to call it a coincidence when baemon had debuted not that long ago .and again the hand thing which is too similar with baemon. I belive it was a publicity stunt to gain People's attention to bv which is not bad thing but truth is they do copied or u can say took inspiration from baemon.
let's talk about this. one, that bg music is a sample... that yg doesn't own. two, the group photos where they used a silhouette and a red background were used by people before baemon ... omg, right? three, the hand sign is horns, which is get this.. from rock and roll and connected to villains, or free people who generally don't go by societal standards, which is badvillain's concept. like op stated, all these things have been used before + or are really common, so you can't go claiming that it was a way to be baemon. the only thing ya'll have any sort of point in is the music sample... but even then, you dull your argument by claiming everything under the sun as a copy.. when it's not original enough to be yours alone. it also makes it seem like ya'll don't understand your group's concept well enough if you wanna say the two groups are so so similar.
Your argument does not work the moment you said 'baemon had debuted not that long ago', do you know how long it takes to plan a debut? BV's producer said it himself, their group name and logo was created in 2020, that's how long it takes

Badvillian put together my two favorite female group. Or should I say inspired or influence. BPM/Hybe's created their version of XG with a little BabyMons7er. But, since XG is all Japanese group members. K-Netizen rejected them as a whole even tho they were create by a Korea company. They know as a global group according to K-Netizens just like BabyMons7ers. Even tho XG are better dancers, rappers, singer and similar concept and vibe as XG with a little BabyMons7er. Hybe's/BPM attempt to copy XG and YG's BabyMons7ers vibe. Real Hip-Hop and R&B has always been YG's sounded.
First, you seem to be in the minority of Kpop fans who stan more than one group, which is a good thing. I, too, am in that minority. As far as Badvillian copying Babymonster, I agree 100% with you. All newer groups are always going to be compared to their predecessors or other senior groups be it their style, sound, genre or any other silly reasons fans can come up with. The only thing I disagree with you on is that Babymonster sounds like Blaclpink. Blackpink is the reason I follow Kpop and I'm a huge fan of their music. However, I feel Babymonster gets a bad rap because Blackpink's sound is actually YG's formula...opening, 1st verse, pre- chorus, chorus, 2nd verse which is a rap, 2nd pre-chorus, 2nd chorus, bridge, and final chorus. This is the only similarity between Blackpink and Babymonster, IMO. Other than that, you presented an intelligent, articulate argument dispelling the statements that Badvillan copied Babymonster, or anyone. If I could be granted one wish it would be that fans just enjoy all the music and give praise to groups they like without saying negative things about other groups. Fans need to realize that all these groups work their butts off to give of us music through their talent and negative comments are unnecessary. BTW, I like Badvillan's songs as well.

I don't fully understand the business of the music industry, especially being new to the Kpop industry, but we, as fans, shouldn't get caught up in the business.
