Hi Jon , great humor in this video , I had a good laugh many times , great to see that you can laugh about yourself . The part about the rope was hilarious , building one from scrap just to find yours after 🤣 . And insisting on the word stealing because the party before left a mess , like it was a punishment for them 🤣 ... You seem like a very distracted person , forgetting things all the time ;) As for your reel , I think you should just change the line for a new one and stop loosing precious fishing time. Its my dream of having a sea kayak similar to yours , I do have one , but its a SOT I use primarly for fishing and its not very fast on the water , and also cant carry a lot of camping gear. And here in Québec ( Canada ) we have Lakes and river everywhere , some of them pretty big , so a long kayak is preferable. Thanks for using the canadian jam knot , maybe the only useful thing ever invented here in Canada , if it was ever invented here 🤔😁 , thanks for the video and the nice drone shots
Hahah, I'm glad you could see the comedy in the situations as well! :) I am tremendously distracted, always thinking about a thousand things, and forgetting the ones that matter. Definitely agree about the reel, I don't think it's gonna get any better. The kayak is wonderful, handles pretty nimbly for such a long boat, as well as being both fast and roomy. Especially useful here on the coast, with strong winds and large waves. Kinda impossible to portage though haha. Just googled canadian jam knot, and I was totally wrong haha, turns out I have no idea what the knot I did is called 🤣
Amazing adventure Jon! Loved the sequence making a ridge line (very resourceful) only to find that you had remembered it after all!😂 Respect to your girlfriend swimming across like that. What an amazing location to camp in, I wish we had islands like that to camp on here in the UK. 👍👍👍
Hahah yes, felt like a regular Les Stroud, and then it was all for nothing😂 Absolutely tremendous location, I think I'll go back in winter when the lake freezes solid. Thank you for your continued support Anthony 😊
Thank you for watching! If you liked the video, leave a thumbs up, and subscribe to see more! :)
