to all helicopter model flyers: MAKE YOURSELF A "GRILL LANDING PAD". The smaller the model, the bigger ground effect from the rotor you'll have. If your landing pad allows air flow through it, your model will have a much more "realistic" attitude near the ground....instead of getting upset due to it's own rotor wash.
What do you exactly mean with "grill landing pad"? Do you have any link about that? I've found only landing pads for self home drones and things like that.. (I am obviously a beginner)
@@Sahadi420 ah ok ok now is more clear! So its Like a bbq grille! And thinking of it it make sense. Sorry for my silly question and Thank you for your explanation!
You know what I thought wouldn't hurt and it's tiny compared to these, a drone blade. I should have figured it would cut me. But them fucking things almost cut my finger off. Had it been this heli I did that with, my whole arm hahaha.
You need to be further away from it when in flight. A friend of mine had a helicopter drop from 10 feet. Rotor blade went straight through his leg . He was alone with his 6 yr old son . In the middle of a field. Luckily his son fetched a dog walker . The guy was shocked when he said dads been hit buy an helicopter.
Flying my copters that close to the ground is very difficult due to ground effect. And very dangerous inside the house. If one blade even touch's something BAMM... I have spun mine up to check alignment or vibration (they need to be balanced exactly on a copter) But there is no way I would do so with my huge A109. Be safe . Do it outside.. if it's to cold, wait till it's warmer. Be safe, have a Merry Christmas...
It's flying heavy, and that's in ground effect. You may need different blades, or reduce weight. Moderate imbalance on the rotors which will stress the ESC. I heard you increasing head speed, and it was already high. Sort that headspeed/lift/weight issue. Don't want to lose the ESC mid flight with such a beautiful model.
I haven’t taken it for a big fly as yet, it’s heavy and esc get hot and I haven’t got around to installing some cooling fans to keep it cooler. I’m worried re the esc cutting out. Will get video outdoors and also close ups of pilot head, gun and cockpit, I used tinyscreen+ from tiny circuits in cockpit which plays video footage of actual Apache console, the detail adds extra realism.
Nice Big Boy Heli that's about as high as I would take it too as I'm still learning on my Syma107G. But at the beginning of this vid the sound didn't appear to be coming from this chopper but one with a jet turbine engine.❓ 🇺🇸
The Heli is electric but has a scale sound system in it with a speaker. It’s the actual start up of a real Apache, also has gun sounds and pilot talking etc. I did put other videos up showing all the detail, especially the cockpit and animated pilots, gun etc. I’ll be taking it out to fly when the weather cools down here in Australia. The Heli is heavy and runs a little warm on the esc.
KOOL👍👍 I WANT to one day do a RC helicopter video but with real heli sounds from it & the blades like on a Huey. I wonder why the Huey models are so hard to find? My guess is everyone wants the newer model choppers. Yours is the 1st I have seen like this Very Nice mate ❤ 🇺🇸
It takes a knack to be really good at it, but it’s easier today than it used to be. Go buy one of the tiny electric ones with simplified controls. Fly it until you’re good, don’t hit things, and understand the Physics. Then get a bigger electric one with an extra control added in. Repeat. Though at the higher levels, you’re spending thousands of dollars.
your axle for rotors its in the center and you get shaking because of that, give that part to person who working on lathe machine and it will be fixed, or your rotors are not same size or weight
Je me demande s'il est possible de mieux équilibrer d'un poil le rotor, pour éviter les vibrations? En tout cas c'est beaucoup mieux que l'aspirateur pour faire le ménage dans son garage!
Careful with the wash inside or before you know it you will be selling it as cheap used and broken parts. I had a small one and like to freak the dog out but sometimes the wash would make it crash. Dope though! Be cool if they we actually jet engines on it!
Pretty nice, although I detect a small misalignment of the main rotor shaft. Perhaps straightening would eliminate much resonating vibrations and instability.
Reason I did the short video was to do slow motion capture to identify how bad the main shaft is bent, clearly from factory it’s not straight at all hence required a new better shaft…
It’s on a switch, down, middle and up position. Using actuonix L12 -R Micro Linear Servo - 30mm - 100:1 - 6 volt, and my o n 3D printed hinges and control horns. I tried it on a mix and I didn’t like the way I had it mixed with elevator.

Yes . Think about why the Seal Team 7’s chopper crashed in Bin Laden’s compound . Same thing . Grid is genious.

Thats a beautiful bird 🙂 If you didnt do it yet, you should look into balancing the rotor blades, I think that would help with the vibrations.
Christ, that looks terrifying indoors. 🤦🏻♂️
I was relieved when it landed and spooled down safely.
Beautiful model! I wouldn't have the guys to fly it in a garage though. 😱

Gorgeous scale Helicopter, awesome landing gear with suspension. I liked and subscribed. 😊
Absolutely beautiful

Very nice, but the main shaft is bent and can be seen at 2:46 causing excess vibration.
