Any form of disabled discrimination is unforgivable. Happy to say in the UK, the vast majority of people are kind and empathetic and businesses are very helpful.
In the last story, OP had every right to park there. Did the child have a wheelchair? Yes. Could the child also use a pram? Yes. Were there handicap spaces available? It don't recall what OP said about that, but it doesn't matter. OP had every right to park there. Would the jerk confront a handicapped person leaving a store to go to their car parked in a regular space? Perhaps they thought someone else needed the handicapped space more or there were no spaces available when they arrived. Same scenario here. OP needed the space and had every right to park in it. It is first come first served. If you choose to leave it for another who YOU think might need it more, that is YOUR choice. No one else's.
*First Story:* Uh...what does mentioning Placer is Republican have to do with the story? *Last Story:* "Mr. Social Justice." God, I _hate_ people like that Kevin in the car. Besides, there's no group more hypocritical than the self-righteous.
I think they were trying to say that Republicans are racist, whereas any intelligent person would know that Political views have no bearing on racism. Both Republicans and Democrats can be racist.
Handicapped placards allow a disabled person to park in preferred parking; 10-20 minute spaces without any time limit; resident parking; metered spaces, for free; and the stupid pick-up/curbside spaces everywhere, that are now replacing what first were handicapped ones. These rights allow us to go out and live a normal life. I’ve been disabled for 30 years. I’ve broken both knees, both arms several times, my neck and back, etc. I am able to walk, but it’s painful. I don’t even limp most days, so I get a lot of judgey looks, and sometimes comments. How can people be so oblivious to their immense advantages and blessings from not being disabled or in constant pain? Instead, they envy and judge groups they see as privileged; even though they’re handicapped. I’d trade my parking for a healthy body, any day.
I told a karen, Walmart parking lot, told her I do not care then left. She was speechless. I was putting tire shine on my tires and she thought I was using spray paint. The wind was blown away from her vehicle as I park in the back of the lot because I like to walk
Those store surveys tend to only be submitted by people who have an issue or complaint. It's the "manage by exception" business plan. Always going to have the store at a disadvantage. Kind of like 95% good interactions with customers but the 5% bad is what stays with you.
My dad had a similar but worse experience. A car crashed into a creek, and he went down and rescued the people before they drowned. They accused HIM of stealing their wallets.
That's one reason I rarely actually help if I see an accident etc. Yes, they have "good Samaritan" laws on the books, problem is that people can still sue you, and you then have to shell out big money for your attorney, and even if/when case tossed by judge, you have zero recourse to recover money you spent on your defense
In Australia we use both words, a pram is generally designed for a baby to lay in, a stroller for a baby to sit up in. Nowadays you can actually buy strollers that can accommodate a baby laying or sitting, so technically you can call it a pram or a stroller.
Not a lawyer, but my understanding is that the author of the first story was putting themself at risk of arrest for theft, leaving again with the wallet. Would not recommend.

LOL the wallet one reminded me of the time that I walked to the convenience store/gas station a little ways down the road from where I lived at the time and I found a wallet next to one of the gas pumps it landed open 😂 it was a police officer's wallet the cashier called the police station to let them know it didn't take him to long to get there since the police station was also just up the road
Like many food joints, it's going to vary from place to place, employee to employee. So, one could be excellent during the day, but terrible during the evening. And vice versa.
@@GipsyDangerfanI feel like the opposite is true. A big part of the selling point of fast food restaurants is the consistency...a Big Mac in Florida is going to taste the same as a Big Mac in California. When you start cooking a burger you press a button and when the timer goes off you flip the burger without looking to see if it's actually ready, then when it goes off again you take it off the grill. The amount of time should be consistent across all McDonald's regardless of location and you're supposed to put the same amount of all of the toppings at all locations. Of course there will be times where the cook was busy at the end of the timer and it'll run a bit long and be a bit more well done or maybe they're not paying attention and put on more than the "correct" amount of the toppings, but otherwise it should be fairly consistent. Probably the biggest cause of variance would be how long ago the burgers were cooked. Fast food would take longer if they cooked the burgers after you order them so they cook a good amount and stick them all in a heating tray, then they put the toppings on after it's been ordered. If you want a cheeseburger they toss a slice of cheese on and microwave it for around 30 seconds. Source: My first job in high school a long time ago was at an A&W.
in the last story I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall so to speak when she got out and put her son in a stroller because I bet the look on that dude's face was priceless
OP, had a child and could certainly use that parking spot, some people are just so misserable and love to stick their noses into everyone's business and try to make them as misserable as they are.
First thought in my head was, that he was going to fill out thousands of surveys. I worked retail he'll, for over twenty-five years. I am still in "customer service", event staff. 😂
I understand why the OP in the wallet story wanted to just return it, though their experience does show why it is generally better to turn valuables in to the police and let them handle it
the wallet story...do not ever do that. taking the wallet regardless of giving anything back can get you in legal trouble inall for trying to respond in pettiness as you effedsctivly did steal it once you decided to make some shit up and then keep it to return at a later date.
My shopping centre has disabled parking, pram/mothers parking, AND senior parking, (me I just park on the sidewalk away from the footpath - scooter), (I know people think all that space for little bike)
A parking space for parents that are wider and allow you to open your doors wider to make it easier to get babies in and out. In Australia they are usually grouped together and marked with a pram painted in the middle of the space, they are not legally enforced so anyone can park in them.
Last story I would have looked at that dude and said yeah and parking spaces are for human beings not absolute troglodyte scumbags so I guess you're screwed
Why do you always make this crap out to be way more dramatic then it actually was? Your thumb nail makes it sound like a crazy Karen. Instead it was just someone saying if you can use the handicap spots use them as 90% of the time they are empty while the one he was in get filled up quick. Think I will be blocking this channel.
"FEW Republican counties of California"? There's somthing like 25 counties in California that are Republican, and about 35 that are Democratic. Of course, most of those Republican counties are sparsely populated, compared to the Democratic ones. Land doesn't vote. People do. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_locations_by_voter_registration#Entire_state

I'd have turned to Mr. SocialJustic and asked him, "Who appointed you to parking enforcement?"

2nd story: Funny, but dangerous play on OP's part. Had police gotten involved, it could have gotten very bad for OP.

Love it when Karen's get told off or knocked out!

Karens do need to be sent to another planet ASAP
"Pram" (British for a stroller) - This must have occurred in Great Britain, where a truck is called a "lorry."
In Australia we use both words, a pram is generally designed for a baby to lay in, a stroller for a baby to sit up in. Nowadays you can actually buy strollers that can accommodate a baby laying or sitting, so technically you can call it a pram or a stroller.

Punctuation is your friend. Don't be afraid to use it.
@@astroturfmatador9119 Who cares, it wasn't hard to understand what they were saying.
My understanding about those expectant mother/new parent spaces, they are available for handicap use when the marked handicap spaces are filled
We don't have an in and out restaurant where I live just out of curiosity is the food any good?
Like many food joints, it's going to vary from place to place, employee to employee. So, one could be excellent during the day, but terrible during the evening. And vice versa.
Better than McDonald for sure. Most of the time they're pack, 10 to 15 minutes waiting time to get your order would be normal.

This happened to me. The guy lost it on the beach. I found it on the road at least 10 miles away. He still accused me of stealing.
Actually, Placer is pronounced with a short 'a' sound.
What happened to HOA Karen?
