I am from Guatemala, that jade is called Olmec blue, it is one of the rarest and hardest and 80% of the jade here is jadeite. Jo the Mayans did great things with jade and without metal stone with stone, those axes used them for different things such as sculpting, cutting and decorating.
That is fantastic I love Guatemala and I love Guatemalan culture specially the art culture turn on my fantastic people but amazing artists thank you so much for watching and thank you so much for commenting I really appreciate it
If you ever get to Oregon, the Rice Gem and Mineral Museum is a worthwhile trip. The house in which it’s housed is one of the first ranch style homes in Oregon. It’s quite a big collection. I think you’d be impressed.
first time looking at what goes on at a Gem show. thought it was only rocks, crystals, etc only. But there's a variety of stuff there. thanks, first time watching.
Hi Dave, Australian vs Ethiopian. Wet finger and touch stone. If it sticks its Ethopian if it doesn't Australian (Coober Pedy or LR). If you own the stones use your tongue. You'd be surprised by the difference and how much the Ethopian almost bonds to your tongue. Thanks for all your work, walk thrus, education and videos.
The lybian desert glass actually happened from a meteorite exploding in air above, they estimate it was as big as 3 atomic bombs. That made sand melt to desert glass as you see.
Would someone get in touch with Steve Arnold or Geoffrey Notkin I watched a meteorite fall in Arizona, and would like to see it before I pass I'm 64yrs old have stage 4copd
Do you know anyone in colorado have wide knowledege about rocks? I have interesting rocks that i would like to identify. Or maybe you could help me to identify it if your interested! You got cool videos ive been watching it

I'm only 5: minutes in so far... Has your Godfather created a jig of sorts to cradle & create those 'pocket-holes.' I would imagine he wouldn't need to... but I might! Also that 'mini hat' looks like a sink flange. (but your probably about to say that)
@@lapidarydave Think star sapphire dome, but with edges. 4 edges is the most I have seen on a sugarloaf. Most no sharp edge but I have seen some with but only 2 of the edges being sharp.

Is this one usually this early, in November?
The Denver gemshow is in September I filmed so much that my Denver 2021 series lasted til November
Those Olovine meteorites under the 2 skulls are Pallasites. Very rare and very beautiful when sliced
They are pretty cool pieces I seen some gigantic ones maybe 50-60 inches across at the Tucson show
I like the ones that shine the most
Always a good rule of thumb
