Steven Stanley told me the exact same story about Tom Tom Club. That's why I'm in full support of black folks gatekeeping black culture. Way too many vultures taking stuff without giving credit.
What adds insult to injury, "Genius of Love" is a song about them PRAISING black culture for inspiring them. So the fact they didn't give a black man credit for his attribution to the song is INSANE.
