      I’ve been seriously torn between the Super 73 S2 and the Pedal Electric AWD III for months…. Both have gone up in price but I’m leaning Pedal Electric (dual motor, full suspension, turn signals, locking feature, dual rider and includes foot pegs and rear rack…but the price is stiff, but more importantly I can’t find any legitimate 3rd party reviews of that one - would absolutely love to see that as I think it beats the S2 and possibly even the super 73 R Brooklyn…surprisingly This ride1Up Revv1 looks like a legit competitor for a lot less but I’d still love to see you review the pedal electric AWD III - maybe your review will blow up because it seems to be off the radar!

    Thanks for another great video. I recently bought a Revv1.
    Let me start by saying that I very much like this bike. Small problems can be very frustrating and detract from overall enjoyment.
    1. Chain keeps coming off the tensioner sprocket. Told that the chain was too short from factory and sending me a longer one. Seems unlikely that this will fix the misalignment.
    2. Throttle has too much play before engaging motor. Support said this was normal and can not be adjusted.
    3. Owners Manual does not include suspension adjustment info. Also incorrect procedure to turn on lights.
    4. Speed indicated on the display shows 5 mph fast.
    5. When discussing these issues with support, they repeatedly asked for more and more photos and videos to be sent them. No offer to have someone locally assist with the repair and or adjustments. Also no return phone call. This is not a cheap bike and customer service should be much better.
    Disappointing follow up from support.

    I bought this ebike because of this review. I used your link to go to the site when I made my purchase. Hope you got credit for it. Thanks for the review. I watched a number of your other reviews, and was about to decide on an Aventon when I saw this video. I also purchased a hich carrier so I can carry it on my Jeep. I offroad by myself pretty regularly. I have one of those satelite emergency communicators if I really get into trouble, but it's more likely I'm not injured but my Jeep is unrecoverable. Now I'll have something I can ride out on. I faced this scenario once before. I'd have probably had a 4-hr walk out. Fortunately I got creative with my winch and pulleys and managed to free my Jeep, but I learned my lesson. Again, thanks for your review.

    I have a horn on my e-bike that's fairly loud as well from the factory. Trust me, it doesn't do shit. It's like half the population is on 20cc's of Thorazine they are so zombie like. I'm looking into getting one of those refillable air horns just to see if they can come out of their stupor long enough so as not to get hit by me or a car. Those Airzounds air horns are like double a car horn and you get a good 15 1 second blasts out of a refillable tank. However if you carry around a small electric bike pump you could keep it pumped indefinitely.

    This is a great bike. Good review! I too would like to see a hill climb! Adding a battery to be mounted low would be an option, even if you had to swap them when one ran low! At 35+ miles an hour this would be a good long distance travel bike.

    Great review. Yours have to be the most complete and most consistent reviews I have seen to date. I do have a question regarding the lack of hill test in this video. You said you couldn't do the hill test because of being in Florida. I'm going to assume that has to do with the speed of the bike. Which begs to question. What would prevent you from doing the hill test if the bike is set to class 2 and the bike was sent to you as a class 2? Thank you and I look forward to your response.

    I like bicycles but this moped thing would be a nice choice for me as a second EV. I would add height to the bars and the second battery for sure. But nice looking bike with some good touches. No rear rack might be a problem for me to resolve. Will be fun to watch what people do to add some rear cargo capacity. The center must be filled with battery in my opinion.

  • @Smaug1
    @Smaug1 Год назад +1

    Ariel Rider X52 is the most obvious competition. It has the same price, but the tires are not as good. I like that the Ariel rider can also have a step through frame with the lower center of gravity.
    There is no point to put the battery up so high on this. It is nice though, that they have an accessory where you can make use of that wasted space in the middle of the frame. Why didn’t they put the battery low, too low the center of mass, and put a locking trunk up higher, where it’s handy?

    • @EbikeEscape
      @EbikeEscape  Год назад

      Agreed - I imagine most will be looking at both of these ebikes. Interesting point on the battery, I certainly like the look. As you mentioned it might just be a tradeoff of having storage space.

    • @EbikeEscape
      @EbikeEscape  Год назад

      We have not done a full range test, but Ride1Up estimates 30 miles, unclear if that is using off-road mode though.
      There is a dual battery option for this ebike, that would help your worry for range. This battery has Samsung cells, so not much worry there. Here is a quote from Ride1Up's website "Our batteries are rated for 800-1000 charge cycles. One cycle is counted as charging the battery from 0 percent to 100 percent".

    It's only a matter of time before people are going to be speeding down bike lanes/paths with these and ruining it for everybody else. In my opinion the manufacturers are playing loose with the law, Knowing there is little enforcement.

      How many times have you gone 50 in a 35 zone with a car? Your Chevy 450 HP beasts are just ruining the driving for the rest of us! The car manufacturers should be forced to produce only wimpy cars that only go 55 MPH. Jeff, we need more government control; bring on those FBI thugs.

      I agree brother! Just make sure cars have a speed governor and are gps tracked so they can never go over the road's stated speed limit! Also might as well make sure road bikers can't use all that aerodynamic gear to pedal faster than 20mph too, just because speed kills!

      Blah blah blah. They aren't that fast...I go 30+ all the time...what's gonna happen in a bike lane? I hit a biker? People ride ebikes on dry and sunny days...the chances of a crash aren't high...

    Can you please tell me a bit more what’s the difference between the hard tail and the full suspension??

    • @EbikeEscape
      @EbikeEscape  Год назад +1

      There are quite a few differences between the two models, but we can highlight a few:
      The biggest, and most obvious, is the full suspension has both front and rear suspension, while the hardtail only has it in the front. Another big difference is the controller and battery. They are both a bit smaller on the Hardtail. The Hardtail will not be able to achieve the same speeds and distances. There are quite a few other differences. We recommend reading the full spec list on ride1Up's website so we dont forget anything: go.ride1up.com/aff_c?offer_id=1&aff_id=1005&source=youtube&url=https%3A%2F%2Fride1up.com%2Fproduct%2Frevv-1%2F%3Ftransaction_id%3D{transaction_id}%26Dtune%26D{affiliate_id}
