I looked in RUclips and found fixes for zippers. Lots of times I just put them back on track and if you squeeze the head of the zipper a bit it will fix it. Also if the zipper zips but the teeth won’t stay closed squeeze the head together a bit and it will make the teeth of the zipper engage.

I sew by the way and know how to repair zippers and most tears. PS; J J Jill had excellent quality in the past so check it out on line for any complaints. I have some JJ Jill sweaters from the early 90's that i still can wear and do wear them. They are classics and I have no problem matching them during different seasons or colors..
I LOVE to see you find soooo many bags and pull sooooo many bags from the dumpster - BUT it makes me SUPER nervous when you just put them in piles on the outside of the dumpster instead of running the bags (or a couple of bags at a time) to your vehicle .
If you put a small piece of wonder under inside the rip, then place a cloth over rip, then use an iron to melt the wonder under and fuse closed. Iron will damage nylon so keep cloth between coat and iron. I fixed a jacket from ONavy last winter

If you get some jewellery pliers and pop open the zipper pull on the side that's broken, you can then put the zipper into it (making sure it's straight), and then use the pliers to press it back closed. If that makes sense? It'll save you $25 and it's SUPER easy.
Recently reminded about this today because my daughter's brand new boot zip came off earlier, and I had to get to work. Did you give it a go? Once you figure it out it's really easy, and you could flip quite a lot of the "broken" clothing retail throws out :)

You should ask people around you that you know if they can sew. Ask if they can fix stuff for you for trade for items. That way they get something. Then you can sell the stuff & make profit off of it too.
There is something defective in the slippers... you shouldn't resale them they were recalled. Find out before you sell them why they were recalled or you might be held liable if someone gets hurt...like they are flammable. I worked retail and it sounds like this is a saty thing.

Thank you for saving the clothes... such a wasteful world we live in... I'm sure Old Navy donates to charities and throwing out 6+ bags of clothes is just pennies to them but they definitely need a better recycling system.

Just because when the stores names are mentioned over & over that is Bad News for the Stores, Owners, and Customers.. The Customers really don't like hearing about D. D. getting Items Free. When the Customers are Paying Full Prices, then the owners get upset of there Store --- Business Names begin said over & over, from D. D. on video's --- getting FREE ITEMS... So it is not good for Any D. D. to keep saying --- Over & Over the Names of the Stores that you find a lot. Better to just say ONCE -- if empty or not... DON'T RUIN IT FOR YOURSELVES --- D. D.
