Cyberpunk is a Top 3 all time favorite game. I laugh, cried and was thrilled throughout and as depressing as the fame can be, it does provide some truly incredible moments in gaming. Thank you for making this essay

Loved it since release but god it’s sooo fun since all of the updates that have been sent out and I’m glad because I’ve been saying “I know they’ll fix everything” for years. For the 7 times it crashed, in the many (many) hours I played upon launch- I wouldn’t say those times hindered my game play and I didn’t understand at all why people were upset. I also didn’t encounter many glitches and the story was incredible so I was enthralled by becoming V and unravelling every mystery I came across.
This is the quality of a 100k sub channel 😩😩

I never mourned T-Bug because in my head she was still working with Dex, who would have betrayed us even had we succeeded. I mourn not Jackie but the time the game could have given us with him. He was an excellently written character. It's a real shame they gave us montage instead of actual gameplay through our early days.
I've waited patiently 3 years for the game to be fixed and got it 2 months ago, poured 200 hours in my first playthrough and just started new playthrough the other day. This is the best game ever made!

The Fallout series is my special interest and it looks like Cyberpunk is becoming a close second😂 I’ve been a Bethesda meat rider since my teens and it’s quite disappointing that Starfield flopped the way it did. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the story and my first play through was super engaging. However, it has major flaws. One main part being, no risks were taken. It’s like they tried pandering to noobs, families, and softies. Which I get because it’s on GP but holy fuck Bethesda, could you make it any more bland? I picked up CP2077 about 4 weeks after SF EA and haven’t touched it since😂 CP2077 wasn’t even that bad at launch, bugs aside and was still 100x more compelling than SF.
I’m a writer. I have a wild imagination and I love story driven games because I can create backstories and personalities onto my player character. It’s how I make the most of the game and increases replayability. I didn’t feel like I could do that with SF (or Fallout 4 tbfh) With my current playthrough of CP2077, I’m head-canoning Johnny and female V as soul mates. She’s dating River right now but playing with his feelings (was originally just supposed to fuck him to spite Johnny). Judy is her true love though😂 It’s coming up with stupid shit like that, that I love about video games that give you the room to do that, through writing. However, I have never been able to do this with a video game to this extent besides GTAV and New Vegas but CP2077 takes the cake. I am so in love with this game.
One thing that’s not talked about much given the demographic of the players, is how different playing as female and male V is, from a female players perspective. Like with Johnny, the dynamic is very different, being that Johnny is a man in a womans body. The voice acting was phenomenal and I can’t praise it enough. It’s the nuances behind femininity and masculinity that add an even deeper level of storytelling that I love and I’m curious if any other women felt the same way playing as female V vs. male V.

Even still to this day rhis game is under rated by audiences because of its rocky launch.. I see people making lists of the greatest games ever and I always see Witcher 3 on em but rarely ever see cyberpunk.. Witcher 3 is a fantastic special game, but cyberpunk is literally a better game in every way that matters .. for my money it’s the best game I’ve ever played
I get that people got burned I really do but as an advocate for cyberpunk since day 1 I’m glad it’s finally getting the love it deserves, and I agree it’s one of if not the best games I’ve ever played
