Really like the one hour videos. Shorter ones are also very interesting but leave one wanting more. But that's not a bad thing. Really enjoy the historical facts you put into your videos because some of your subscribers I suspect, like me, have done some of your walks but bypassed places with little idea what we are walking on, looking at or hearing. The beauty of the walks is enhanced by your enthusiasm for doing them. How you walk for hours and miles at a time on that ankle is testimony to your enthusiasm to deliver quality videos about the county we love. Keep it up 😄
Just keep doing what you're doing. My family really loves your videos around our county. We find it relaxing to sit and watch your rambles after a hectic day.
Myself I like your long videos of these nice relaxing scenic places specially when having a meal and deciding where to visit come the weekend or some free time, like nice rugged coastlines myself expecially deserted or mostly desereted ones unlike camber sands and durdle door which are best in winter or early morning to avoid the masses. For me Dorset is close and nice so I often visit there just to chill out.
40-60 mins is perfect in my opinion. I enjoy all of it, but most of all the educational and informative parts. I love learning about the history of the villages, and learning to identify the flora and fauna. I walk and run a lot, and the more I can understand and connect with stuff on my route, the more it enhances my enjoyment. Thank you for the lovely video :)
Hi Terry Auntie Pat and I have just finished watching your latest video Bere Regis . We enjoy them so much. We remember the names but not too much about the local. Many years have passed . Please keep them coming
Love all your videos Terry. I often begin watching thinking I will just watch 10 mins with a cuppa tea and then see the rest later, but end up seeing it all because 40 mins feels like 5 mins in yr company! Ah. But yes it was fine to split your recent longer video in two parts, I couldn't wait for part 2, a good thing. I like a mix of chatter but also some quieter mindful moments as you focus on water or nature etc. Maybe some mindfulness videos created from outtakes with just music or sound of nature as an additional option on your channel will attract new viewers and be a source of meditation for regular viewers. But basically don't change much at all because we just love YOU and being with you on beautiful journeys, short or long, that many of us are unable to complete ourselves.
Ah, thank you so very much for your kind and generous comment, I feel very touched by it! I can't say how much your encouragement means! It is strange that you mention the mindfulness/meditative videos as I already have several prepared and which I will put up at some point 😀 Thank you so much again, and thank you for following me!
I love your videos as they are. The length of videos are just right. I always settle down with a cup of coffee to enjoy your walk and all your accompanying narrative which is always very interesting. I've learnt so much about Dorset and will certainly try to walk parts of the routes you've taken us on. I would also be very interested in your back packing adventures as well. Looking forward to your next video already!!
Ah, thank you so much, I really appreciate your feedback Jean 😀 There will be a backpacking video coming up in a couple of weeks - Day 1 of my 3 day countryside and coast backpack. Hope you enjoy 😀
editing the videos is always a ton of work, but for people like us, who love being in nature, the walking part should be where we spend most of the time. You know of so many pretty places and forests in Dorset and the UK that turning all of your knowledge into movies would turn you into a "home potatoe". How about doing some live walks during the summer? Just exploring without making a plan. I'm sure people will love to watch the Live streams, and it will safe you all the editing work. Walks can be shorter, and you can post photos here in the community posts and on your website. Of course I'm hoping to hear some live poems, too.
Ah, thank you 😀 That's an interesting idea worth thinking about for future summers 🤔 The signal is a bit hit and miss in a lot of places that's the only thing.
I personally like your longer length videos - they can always be watched in sections. I don't live in Dorset now, but I was born and brought up in East Dorset, and we would take trips of a weekend to other parts such as the Purbecks and Weymouth etc. Sadly, I don't get to visit as often as I'd like these days, but I love walking, and it's so nice to watch your rambles which invariably bring back memories, and to learn lots of new things about the places which were so familiar to me.
Hi terry we love all your videos they are so interesting you film them beautifully especially when you zoom in on trees flowers and wildlife from your stories that are so informative we have learned so much about the area the length of the videos seem fine with your ankle permitting thank you so much for your time xxx
Ah, thank you so much Jane, you are always so encouraging! I am currently on my second backpack of the year and the weather is amazing! Thanks again Jane 😀 xx
Brand new subscriber after watching your epic Coast to coast walk. Love your gentle presentation style, and your love of the natural world comes through. Sitting down with a cup of tea whilst you share your thoughts on anything under the sun would be a relaxing hour of walking & talking with you. Good luck with your channel, keep them coming Terry. You are a light in a dimming world.
Excellent work as usual Terry 🧙♂, really enjoyable as are all your rambles (in both senses of the word, the commentary is as important as the walks), so for me I'm entirely happy whatever you put out, I can always watch the longer ones in chunks if needed. Now I must admit I'm a little confused again - that seems to happen more the older I get! My ex-partner lives in Wimborne and she always insisted it is pronounced Bear Regis (as do you) but when I mentioned this in one of Dave Ford's videos, he said he'd asked a local and it's pronounced Beer, so I propose that you and him have an arm wrestle to sort it out once and for all 😀💪💪.Bev.
Ah, thanks so much Bev, your comments are always so encouraging 😀 lol, yes, I have pronounced it Bear all my life but I have a feeling that Beer is actually the correct way to say it - in any event, I'd always accept the word of a resident 🤣 Thanks again Bev. Terry
Just to say I am enjoying your vlogs just as they are, so no need to change anything at all. If you did do some shorter walks I would find that interesting too. If you have any tips on managing arthritis and walking, that would be good. I assume it is mostly a matter of keeping going and not giving up as that seems to work most of the time for my dodgy knee.
Thank you so much for your kind comment 😀 Re managing arthritis, I have try numerous things and some of these are helping although it is hard to pinpoint which. These are some of those - taking daily turmeric, having the old hardware removed, exercises to keep the ankle strong, walking regularly to keep the ankle supple, using a walking pole, placing my feet carefully to avoid unnecessary twisting, walking slower to avoid over flexing the ankle, using pain killing gel, walking through the pain, walking naturally (I realised I was walking in an unnatural way in order to avoid pain but in fact, it was making it worse), keeping my weight under control....... Hope this helps 😀
Well you ask for feedback so my twopenneth worth is: less verbal rambling especially the grating 'awesomes' ,so we can just enjoy the peaceful woodland walks with just birdsong. On future vlogs, anymore along the Dorset coastline not already covered would be 👍.Otherwise luv it but please include more Dorset burr and local old fashioned sayings rather than modern 'slang' please😊
the longer videos are like a movie, really nice
Thank you, that is useful feedback 😀

I enjoyed this walk Terry from the comfort of my chair whilst knitting. I hope your ankle is holding up.
Thanks Daphne 😀 Ankle has been sore recently, partly the time of year I think.

Ah, thank you so much, I really appreciate your feedback 😀
What can I say apart from don't change a thing. Short or long your videos are always well shot and imformative. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Ah, thank you so much, I really appreciate your feedback 😀

another good walk mate keep em coming.
Ah, thanks Andrew 😀
I have been enjoying your videos of Dorset, I do like the music you play. It is relaxing watching your videos.
Ah, thanks so much Linda 😀 Good to hear from you - hope you are well.

I believe Brian May...also funds a Wildlife Sanctuary/Rescue Centre for Hedgehogs. It's called..."Amazing Grace"
Yes, he’s a good guy for wildlife 😀

Ah, thank you so much Malcolm, that is a very encouraging comment and I really appreciate it 😀 Terry
I would like to see the sign posts . Nice to see where the next villages are. Beautiful walks Thank you .
Thanks Catherine 😀 I must admit, I quite like signposts, especially the old ones 😀

Another lovely walk! Interesting to see Brian May's woodland, not been there before.
Ah, thanks so much Paul ❤️
Like any length video Terry...
Thanks Barb 😀
