- Joy Benedict reports from Beverly Hills where police are searching for five suspects involved in a brazen smash-and-grab robbery of a jewelry store in broad daylight Tuesday.

Remember kids, in California it is legal to use deadly force to stop a robbery in which the victim’s life is in danger. If the store owner or another public citizen had killed these guys, their buddies would probably think twice about doing the same thing.

There’s nothing to prosecute them for, as I said in my original comment, in California you can use deadly force to stop a robbery where the victims life may be in danger. So if you saw someone holding a gun to someone’s head you could shoot and kill themUnder the law. So if people are breaking windows with crowbars, I think that qualifies as putting peoples lives in danger and as such you would be able to use deadly force under California law.

A friend who was there not long ago told me that Beverly Hills is now patrolled in and around that area by teams of police clad in SWAT gear, and, yet, this still happened. It has become a very dangerous area, especially since the 2020 riots.

i used to run smash and grab jobs and the like way back in the 70's when i worked as muscle for hire for some of the london firms, back when i was running errands for the likes of the richardsons, and let me tell you, if we had seen lads doing this sort of high profile shit, they would be six feet under before they ever touched any valuables, just let me at the scum, i had a passion for dealing with young lads who pulled jobs like this, me and my trusty old sledgehammer have kneecapped more than a few pieces of shit like those lads who pulled this job

It's impractical for them to have armed security guards where you have to pay them $30 to $40 an hour. It's cheaper to have the place insured for situations like this that will probably happen once or twice in a lifetime for them (if ever).

How is a high-end watch dealer going to have a display with ordinary safety shatter glass. Any watch or diamond dealer needs to have professional ballistic grade shatter resistant glass installed as their front window.
Millions of $$$ and no break proof glass. It might only take $1 to install structural integrity walls and break proof glass unless of course a vehicle rams into it.
