Good lecture; I have to comment that the current increase is caused by switch both from LOW to HIGH and HIGH to LOW; The difference between switch from LOW->HIGH and HIGH->LOW is due to the difference between the switch capacitance of the PMOS and NMOS FET transistors. In this lecture, it was represented by the two switches connected between Supply and Ground
@Colin O'Flynn Thank you for your work, educational videos on DPA, CPA etc. I'm going to be working on the project (Breaking AES with Chipwhisperer) as part of my uni course. I will be using a mobile phone as a target device, an oscilloscope + a probe (as a capture board), will I be able to use Chipwhisperer software as part of this set up..This is a challenging one for me.
Good luck! Those more complex targets can be a challenge - definitely start with something like a TVLA or "T-Test", which will show you if you are detecting leakage or not.
Hello @Collin, this is a great video. Could you advice me on how I could get the analyzer. I have some traces I wish to do a CPA analysis on, and your app looks easy to use.
Hello @Colin O’Flynn I’m in my university and my professor has your chip whisperer set up but I’m having difficulty understand the environment and I see on your website you have courses do the courses come included with the hardware if not is there a student discount to purchase? Please let me know thank you again!
Got about halfway through this before I realised you were the same guy I listened to on The Amp Hour last year. Great talk, thank you for sharing :)
Thanks for the video, you seem like a very good teacher

Many thanks, you are doing an excellent job.
@@ColinOFlynn will the passive probe be enough to capture the traces? I'm not using the capture board unfortunately.
Hi. This is Correlation Power Analysis, not DPA, isn't it?

Can you please share the link to tutorial you have mentioned, I am not able to find it on the website. Thank you.

I think the complexitiy is not just 256 times 16 cause you have to caculate the point position that is likely to be the trace number you have~
Are you canadian? amazing video btw
Cool
