I think you're getting a bit too overhyped because that's not what they announced. It's not Pokémon Z plus a new Legends game. It's Pokémon Legends Z-A and it's already been confirmed to only take place inside Lumiose City.

If Megas are a thing in this game, then technically we can’t witness the Kalos War because that plays a huge part in AZ’s story. Now we won’t get to see it play out because this game seems to be taking place 2000 years after the war unless we are able to time travel which is very unlikely.

Re-development could be in the past. Maybe the city was a small village, destroyed in the war, then re-developed into an early version of the city we know today

I don't know why, but the Unown was a word scramble. The first one said "Pokemon Presents," and the second one said "see you?"
I was thinking of that, but also, when I noticed it watching Pokemon Presents, I couldn't help but think Game Freak was referencing the Playstation 1's North American slogan before it's launch in America of "U R Not E/ENOS" type of slogan for the launch of the Playstation 1, as well as referencing Game Freak working with Sony back in the early 1990s on the Super Famicom/Super Nintendo before they ended up making one video game for the PS1, which launched in Japan, as well as the Sega Saturn, 30 years ago on December 3rd, 1994.
I wouldn't be surprised if the misspelling was a reference to how the Playstation 1 was advertised back in 1994/1995.
Ok, as an Unova fan, i COULD be really mad right now, especially when you remember that they went from Sinooh to Kalos, completely skipping Unova, BUT i also love Kalos, and being Legends? I can't really be mad, especially because they might be cooking something great to Unova in the future, so i can wait. Admittedly, if it wasn't a Kalos game, but a Johto game, and we didn't had anything about Unova, THEN i would be pissed, but since it's Kalos, i am fine with it 😅

As another Unova fan, Kalos definitely has some great lore too and it’s a great alternative.

My favorite Legendary is finally getting its due!
Lumiose city will be the hub like jublife city in legends arceus and each route entrance will lead you into a new area of the map. As you continue the game the city will be able to built more and more therefore making you the one who reestablished and built lumiose city
The scrapped AZ Floette event Pokemon might finally be used! And maybe Ash-Greninja! AZ’s Floette has been fully functional in the game files for year and was even fully functional in Pokémon Home since launch!
Kinda weird, the letter showing up behind Z seems to look more like a capital Lambda, so that implies the stuff from ORAS as well?
There was some ORAS gear in the DLC for SV (The headgear that u get from Atticus from the auction area)

The blueprints at the beginning make me think it's referencing the urban renewal program that went on in Paris in the late 1800s. Basically Paris didn't used to be anything like the city we know today so Napoleon made a big plan that ended up taking like 30 years to build Paris into a modern metropolitan City. I think the urban redevelopment program and the urban renewal program are literally one for one
Team Flare were originally gonna be aliens, so I wouldn't rule out space being important
the redevelopment part is likely based off the renovation of paris under napoleon, which just so happens to coincide with the colonization of hokkaido (setting of PL:A)

Paris or Lumiose city has been "redeveloped" many times. there was a famous redevelopment that took place around the time Legends Arceus is set in in the late 1800's
Yeah it's unclear if it's future or not, seemed to me more like a blueprint of Lumiose as we know it, hence being set in the past. Also, there was a similar event in Paris after Napoleon where medieval stuff was torn down to be updated to modern stuff. It's urban redevelopment, from whatever Lumiose was before, to where it is today.
i think the theres going to be some time travel shenanigans in Z-A cus i think the "older" looking blueprint was the construction or redevelopment of lumiose after the kalos war.

I'm happy. Were finally getting Pokémon Z after so many years. And it may be for Switch 2 since its 2025. It's a good thing they are skipping a whole year and actually listening to fans and taking their time. This has potential to be amazing. Oh, and I'm hyped for new Kalosian forms and new MEGAS!!!! And for clarification, this game is a Legends game, so it is NOT in the future like many people have been speculating, it takes place in the past 3000 years ago during/ after the Great Pokémon war that destroyed Lumiose City, that's why they are Re-developing it again with the redevelopment plan. Plus, the name makes sense. Its Z-A because of the character AZ from X and Y.

Thanks to digital distribution, this rarely happens anymore, but it is still a thing-for example, Pokemon GO had a staggered release across regions, first coming to Japan and everyone else having to wait several days to be able to play. So by saying “simultaneously”, it’s letting everyone know that no matter where you live in the world, the launch day is the exact same.

Pokemon legends arceus was based on the Meiji Restoration in Japan, set in the latter half of 1800s, specifically when Japan was colonizing Ezo and turning it to Hokkaido. And then there's the Haussmann's renovation of Paris (established base for modern urbanism & destroy old city & nature) + 1889 Paris Exposition (originates building of the Eiffel tower & many other projects to beautify the city), both being in late 1800s as well and fits perfectly with "redevelopment" (from old Paris to New Paris). The blue BG + white lights may reference blueprints, invented in 1840s & used extensively for reconstruction of Paris. Plus, with the whole heavy industrialization going on, a certain protector of nature might wake up, it fits so well!!!
But anyways, this just a theory.
It can be re-developed in the past. Paris *was* redeveloped in the 1850s-1870s.

I've got to wonder if this Legends game will be in the past or not. The future-y look, plus it wasn't an urban development plan, but it's a re-development plan. It's a rebuilding of Lumiose, so... future styled Legends game??

My prediction for one of the starters would be Snivy because it's based of French history and in legends Arceus they gave Oshuwatt an alternate form based on Oda Nobunaga, so it would make sense for Snivy to get the same treatment in its French inspired region.
I saw a video that mentioned that for the indigo disk dlc trailer, they showed torchic, piplup, and snivey with the respective three starters in Hisui.
Also, the starters in Unova are supposed to have a “Japanese, Western, Chinese” theme.
Piplup would evolve to be Empoleon, which is inspired by Napoleon, and apparently a rooster is the national bird of France, so torchic makes sense

Pokémon Legends Zygarde needs look amazing to get me invested. After playing a week of Palworld it makes me look at Pokémon and think damn there is so much potential but the Pokémon company refuse to add the most basic features to their games. Fingers crossed for this one.🤞

I have done a bit of theorising maybe legends za is set in either the future or set in the past but not distant like legends arceus but maybe like in a period similar to the industrial revolution period in the UK or like the french revolution or set from a time period say 1800 to 1920 and maybe we get new mega's as well say like mega dragonite as Dragonair was in the frame with gyrados as gyrados can mega evolve so maybe or maybe not mega dragonite but probably new mega evolutions.

That's why it's called Pokemon Legends Z-A because its usually takes place before the original game comes up. The holographic presentation is just a blueprint for redeveloping the urbanize Lumiose City. The key words here we know it's before XY is the "A Vision of beautiful coexistence between people and Pokemon..." means that there are still conflict with the relationship if pokemon and humans. Modern eras are now getting along with pokemon but here it's to coexist. Also not a coincidence that they choose Kalos after Paldea because Paldea is a representation of Spain so it's near France which Kalos is based on. Not gonna be surprised if they mentioned Paldea and Galar (representation of UK) because they were in war before.

We're finally getting Mega Evolution back & we're FINALLY GETTING POKEMON Z!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Albeit it's interesting that it's in the form of a Legends game; and interesting theories that are forming are possibly either taking place in the era of AZ's time when he was king/the warring Kalos period OR due to despite being a Legends game but we have Cities & the wording of Redevelopment Plans & the art maybe Z-A might take place in the future!!!! My main hope for that when it comes to Megas that we get more Kalos pokemon would get Mega Evolutions considering it's the region that kickstarted the mechanic. A majority of Megas that we have now (from most to least; not including Reversion) mainly are from: Hoenn (20), Kanto (13), Johto (6), Sinnoh (5), & Unova + Kalos have 1 each; so it would be nice to even it out with the region that started the phenomenon for Kalos to gain more Mega Evolutions

Actually it is redevelopment and it is in the past. It's the founding of Lumiose as we know it today. I could be mistaken, but that part of France was lived in prior to Paris being created, hence redeveloping it, so it makes sense. From Industrial Paris to the Modern Paris we know today. I'm sure it 100% will not be in the future.
Except the whole game will take place in lumiose according to Nintendo, and modern Lumiose is too small and doesn’t match the description provided, my money is on a present or near future legends game
