All are missing one point here, when i was studying, im the first graduate from my family. So i dont have much guidance, and internet also not developed much at that time. Though my parents used to say me to settle in permanent job, because thats the maximum knowledge for them. If Teachers wants to teach better they have to come from good background, thats also big question mark. Its a stepping stone, gradually this curve will grow. For me basics education is must. :) i still do consulting for civil engineering firms around the world, next month going to laos. I enjoy learning so i learn new things and do. This is again typical mentality of people if someone studied 4 yr degree in civil he cannot be good at other things. People cannot think outside of the box. I also studied robotics diploma and robots because i was curious. Also today we have calculators, computers and AI at work we dont need to muggup anything in particular work just need to know how to use them get the results. Exams should mimic work, at work you can use google to solve a problems. Exam should focus on problem solving skills not mugging up skills.

You missed one point. Students always hate education in early age because thats what many social media influencers and political env build a structure on our society. When that student crosses age 25 or 30 he realises the importance of education and learning. You need basic education irrespective of your interest. We dont have social media in 90s and 80s we hated going to schools bcos of how the school treated us, how the education was delivered. Simple. Basic education or advanced it should be fun, stress free, have application knowledge. Current teachers who dont have industry experience should be sent home and should recruit people with working experience so they can add lot of value.

In my lower grade, I was told that pi×r^2 is area of circle. No one told me the actual reason behind it. Later when I studied integration and applied some approximations I understood how the formula emerged.
So to understand something at a higher level we always need some maturity and prerequisites.
If you would've explained me integration in lower classes, definitely I would've hated that.
So to move to the next step sometimes mugging up can also help and I'm sure we can catch up in the next level.

I dont time to throw like tht i ask lor of questions in school fr that teachers dont like me they target me. This educational system is not encouraging freedom of expression, not creating curiosity, person who understands will never get better marks that thr person who muggsup. We need to acknowledge the problem and this generation will solve it, i will oneday.

Education is important but it shouldnt have to be forced kids will enjoy going ti school. Learning should be fun. Exams should mimic work place problem solving not something as useless as we have now.

Iam not agree with you ragul.. you have to ...memorize with understanding and also memorize without understanding...because after some period you come to understand the real meaning whatever you memorize without understanding... some brain take some time to process the information... he said you should have skill of memorizing in both way...if needed in situation, then memorize it, then later you analyse it and process it....period.. ...
Tell me the things you memorise before and you still remember. We forget illogical memory lot faster. You need to keep doing it again and again on daily basis to remember. Read about memory indexing. You can retrieve things which you dont understand or logically connect with other elements of your knowledge. I don’t memorise anything other than values of some constants, formulas, etc which are very small portion. Anything other that is useless.
@@AskRaghulan 2 pages poem I had memorized with less understanding.. and got 1st prize in childhood..still remembers..but later part of my life only , i realised deep meaning of it...keep all aside , 1. It may help you later part of life or not,.. 2 . It help you to make money or not... 3. It will be forgeted or not... you are taking everything to profit or value or meaning aspects ... zen life says if you keep mind empty and calm, you will feel happy and blessfull... you will ask what the use of mind being empty? How can be person is successful without thinking? Will you ? I kno you will ... Sometimes life flows without meaning or without questioning.. he said if it necessary , you can mug up for time being.... this skill is necessary also in this competitive world ...
Poem :) mugging up maths, physics, chemistry, english grammar, etc. which if you dont keep reading regularly you most likely not going to remember. You basically relearning again at later part. Its like You singing a hindi song without knowing hindi vs singing a tamil song knowing the deep meaning of it.
You will always inspire me,but our method of learning is not completely wrong. What GK told is right. Let me tell you with reasons.
1) society is a home, education is a room. So therefore a government will look only to refine. So changing methodology requires transformations it is not possible.
2) we have caste suppression religion suppression ,geographical barrier and generation gap .so first and foremost is required to push all community kids to study.
3) today TN constitutes 50% female workforce of 43% . Now atleast 6 out 10 would have mugged up . Therfore it had helped them in empowerment in all aspect( fertility , infanticide, reduced child marriage) if we had methodology that you are mentioning many women might not have even completed in 10th particularly SC ST
4) policy cannot be changed as when we tend to create education policy for 15 years keeping how kids will cope up. Now they will look at result of it. Now guys like u will always be out of box who will create new opportunities in the societies . Labour for entrepreneur like u will be easily available. You access them easily. So you are improving whole society.
5) even developed countries like korea is also having similar pattern . But govt have limited challenges compare to India that makes them to develop other sectors. Therfore it negates the effect of their education methodology. And China as well many try to learn again after colleges what they taught in school.
6) at end of the day what matters education must able to provide labour. Other things will improve.
7) One more thing today exam have also started to change from question of what and where to why, examine , elaborate . When i was studying more question often tend to be what in 2012.
Thanks for your comment, All i am asking is have teachers with industry work experiance so they get the students job ready, also while teaching explain where something is used and how to use it..
Kids shouldnt fear or hate schools and education, it should be fun environment.
