I have been wanting to make a bag like this. I just am unsure of how to do the lining... do you make it the same size as the outside? I am pretty decent at making patterns by hand I just never know about the liner how I should do that so I usually leave my bags unlined.
The lining leather strap can be cut at a certain width and checked in advance, and the lining can be made in the same size as this. The leather will vary depending on the thickness, but it is cut about 10mm smaller than the size here. As I said before, the best way is to make a surface and check in advance. Normally, if there is a bottom or side plate, it is cut to a regular size and sewed 2~3mm small when sewing. I hope it helps a little bit.
1.(0.40) It is called a rubber sponge and is used here to keep the shape and elasticity of the bag. 2.(2.10) sl (synthetic leather), used to reinforce the handle or shoulder straps depending on the thickness. Firmly secures bags and handles and prevents deformation and sagging. The shape is the minimum way to find it. There is no fixed choice. I hope this helps you a bit. Thank you for watching the video.

You can sew the lining with your hands, but it's not comfortable because it's thin.

The bond used in the tote bag is called B5.
If you search on Google, you'll probably find many things.
