    Is the battery life that short from a fully charged battery? Or with the residual charge left from the factory?
    Nice presentation. I looked at these this afternoon. Trying to see if it's something I would actually use

      Hi, I've used these several times for different project. I feel like it's a very useful tool. As for the battery life, it holds about 30 minutes of charge. This was the battery that was included. I feel like they may sell a separate battery with longer life. I never got it, because I just use it for diy project, so I don't need a super long battery life.

      It was an expensive tool, I got it because I knew it would make it easier to build a gate.

    If I'm correct everything you buy that has a battery only gives you about one bar maybe a half but you supposed to completely charge it like your cell phone all the way until it's full because otherwise you're going to make your battery only charge halfway and your battery is going to be a dud from now on. That's what I always heard but I never tested myself I just make sure to take the precaution anyways but great video man that did help me out a lot and I'm about to have it delivered to my kids home where they live with their mom

      Thank you, hopefully they can follow the steps. I know I didn't show the part with the Allen Wrench, but once your son does it, it's pretty easy to figure out how things go in.

    I knew I won't be doing the cutting of wood,tile etc but I enjoyed the review/tutorial on how to use that saw..Time lapse helps a lot! Ohh 20 mins battery span is too short :(..That's Manufacturer's technique to upsell ;)

    This ultra saw product is pretty sharp...sort of speak! I had a Dremel a long time ago and they have quality products. You got a very good buy here. like 11

      I kind of wish I got the corded one after using this, but it cuts really good.

    I love battery-operated tools!
    I like the battery indicator light.
    Nice tool to help out with all your current and future projects.

      Thanks Nicki, it is convenient to have something battery operated, just wish this tool had more battery life.

    I'm looking to replace my M12 cut off tool since it is quite underpowered for anything over 3/8" steel rod, copper pipe and pvc pipe.
    Since I already have a handful of Bosch 18V batteries, this Dremel saw seems like the right fit.
    Yes, you heard it right. This saw is compatible with all Bosch 18V Lithium batteries.

    That little saw did a great job. I was always reluctant to get tools since I live in such a tiny urban space. Something this size would be useful. Too bad there isn't an option to just keep it plugged in. A great thing to try still. Also nice music in the video BTW!

    • @Pixics
      @Pixics  3 года назад

      There's actually a corded version of this that is $50 cheaper. It's a decent saw for a small space, but it can only cut 1 inch deep.

  • @LorembyChristina
    @LorembyChristina 3 года назад

    The ultra saw definitely better than the traditional saw if they follow what you suggested to buy extra batteries

    • @Pixics
      @Pixics  3 года назад

      I looked and the battery is expensive, so I will just use what I have...haha

  • @sandorspalms
    @sandorspalms 3 года назад

    I agree John they definitely want you to buy more batteries! I went from a 20v to 40v on all my cordless tools. It cost me alot but now I have twice the time and still have the back-up 20v batteries if I need more time! Great review and looking forward to seeing how things turn out👍😁

    • @Pixics
      @Pixics  3 года назад +1

      From now on I'm just going to get the corded tools, it's not worth the hassle fo dealing with batteries.

    There are never enough tools, my wife loves the cordless ones, but you and I have the same complaint, battery life! The only solution is to buy spare batteries. If you have 16 hens, I bet you'll never run out of eggs! Good review!

    • @Pixics
      @Pixics  3 года назад

      Actually none of the eggs we incubated hatched, so it's just 6 chicken now. We will try to get 2 or 3 chickens every year instead of trying to incubate.

  • @nemusworld
    @nemusworld 3 года назад

    Haha why does it remind me of the woodchipper that you bought before? 15-20mins is so short. Not enough work could be done by that. I wish you could just directly plug it on.

    • @Pixics
      @Pixics  3 года назад +1

      Yeah, I would buy a corded version instead of this. And it was so expensive too.

  • @thevault2317

    So after we have the Allen wrench and we turn to loosen it do we just put the blade over it and tighten it back up or do we take the boat off? I'm trying to find one video with everything on it. So when I have my sons do some work I can send them the video of the tool and tell him exactly to take every step of video shows and so they wouldn't have any questions when I send them the money to get it

    • @Pixics
      @Pixics  5 месяцев назад

      You take the bolt and washer off, then place in the blade and the put them back on.

    This is the only flush cut (cuts right up to a 90º angle) so will saw within a few mm of a corner (flush to a skirting board for example). Unfortunately the mechanism that keeps the 'depth of cut' footplate tight, is useless. I have had to modify it. When doing floors or the roof, depth of cut is crucial to not damaging pipes, underfloor or sarking felt, if on a roof, etc.... I can't imagine why this is the only flush cut saw that is available, there is a 'gap in the market', for the competition. Bosch 18v batteries work with this unit. No need to buy expensive Dremel batteries.

    • @machinarum

      Go girl!! You can use power tools! I’m rooting for you. Seems like battery for this tool is a No No. I have the corded one. It is awesome! Based on this video, I will definitely recommend the corded version to anyone.
      As an alternative, check Dewalt atomic circular saw with battery is pretty good. The atomic product line is the small version of their power tools. Their atomic circular saw is a bit bigger than the dremel’s ultra saw.

    You now have 11 mins video. I’m scared in any sounds of cutter especially the chainsaw,I remembered the movie Texas chainsaw massacre scary. Be attentive when you use it,and don’t let your children touch it.

    • @Pixics
      @Pixics  3 года назад

      Oh yeah, this one was a bit longer because I wanted to show the process of using it and setting it up. We are probably going to teach our oldest how to start using tools, but I may not teach him to use the saw yet.

    How long do those blades last

    • @Pixics
      @Pixics  3 года назад

      I only used it for that one project, but they still seem pretty sharp. I would think I could use it for years, but it's easy to replace them later on.
