Atari was so far ahead of everyone back then. Xybots is my favorite arcade game of all time. the game is awesome and that cabinet is freaking beautiful. It doesnt come up a lot when people talk old/classic arcade games but it should. Its a shame what those hucksters did with the Atari name (The VCS Kickstarter).
Some games are owned by Atari Games (ex: Road Burners, Primal Rage). Atari Games doesn’t have anything to do with the Atari Corporation ever since. It was part of the Time Warner Interactive label until 1996, where the founder of Atari: Nolan Bushnell. Want Atari Games back, then he failed. And TimeWarner sold Atari Games to WMS Industries and WMS decided that Midway (creators of Mortal Kombat) would be a public company. Midway had control of Atari Games and when a game is released for consoles, it has to be sold by Midway and under the Midway Home Entertainment label (just like Tengen, also Tengen was part of the TimeWarner label and replaced by Time Warner Interactive). Later, Midway canceled some games worked by Atari Games (Most popular game canceled was Primal Rage 2). There are more canceled games such as: Vicious Circle, Tenth Degree / Juko Threat and more. Later in 1999, Hasbro bought Atari Corporation from Jack Tramiel. Causing some confusions between Atari and Atari Games, so Midway renamed Atari Games into Midway Games West. Later in 2003, the company was disbanded. In 2010, Midway filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy and decided to move its assets to Warner Bros. And caused the creation of WB Games Chicago, and later renamed to Netherrealm Studios. R.I.P Atari Games / Midway Games West (1985-2003) ---------------- R.I.P Midway Games (1958-2010)
Initially i wanted to use something from Atari, but since most of their arcade games are so old with very few sounds i gave up and ended using that piece from UT; Props to you for noticing! xd
As you said, those were games made by Namco and Atari was just distributing them in some areas; Would be unfair to have them on this list, but they will definitely be on Namco's list;
That was the Lynx version of Hard Drivin'. Sorry, but that's a pretty big mistake. I love what you're doing, but those two versions look nothing like each other.
I always said Atari sucked especially in the 90s jag anyone? I used to say that looking at what games available on there home systems. However I just realized I do love there arcade games alot of really great games they did there home machines like 7800 which lacked quality games just like the jaguar and even though I'm a huge fan of the lynx I like well at least 20-25 games on it again it lacks alot of quality titles.

So many Atari arcade games from that era were amazing.
@@SoftwareAgentsTV Atari being ahead of someone only lasted untill mid 80's. Since mid 80's japanese companies surpassed Atari in all ways.

How do you manage to forget to put Computer Space in a video about Atari games?
Maybe because it was not released under the Atari brand?
