I feel like they wanted to make Knuckles more of a fact that Knuckles belong to a tribe. The fact that Knuckles has the accent that Idris Elba has really gets that fact.

That would look weird… from a design perspective, regular Sonic has beige arms to keep his design from being overloaded with plain old blue (and because blue arms would blend in with his body in sprites) but boom Sonic and movie Sonic give him blue arms but also have details to keep his design from being too simplified, boom Sonic’s got a scarf to break up all the blue, and movie Sonic has realistic fur texture which helps make his design more visually interesting than just a bunch of blue Also the beige of movie Sonic’s face, ears, and chest is beige fur instead of skin so actual skin would look really out of place
I REALLY REALLY hope that Metal appears in the movie like pulling a Mechagodzilla from Godzilla vs Kong type of thing where the sort of main villian appears at the end and not showing up in trailers to keep it a secret

If the games coming out in a year, then I hope the graphics will be closer to the cutscene quality. The Unleashed-level graphics were before its time, but that's not saying a lot when the game came in 2008. If Ratchet &Clank can acheive this level of gfx so can we
