She is the greatest Bach player I've ever heard. Whether she's playing quickly or slowly she never hurries. She always has space within the notes which strengthens her interpretation, and lets the music 'breathe'.

I think you are quite right! With her feminine sensitivity and touch she exceeds even Sviatoslav Richter in regard of Bach.
Richter is one of my heroes, but
Tatiana Nikolayeva playing Bach is something quite phenomenal!!!

Tatiana is such an immense artist that her sound here can only be described as "oceanic"

Как романтично и мелодично льется музыка. Вот ,где Настоящий Бах из всего того,что я слышала. Гениальная пианиста. Склоняю голову перед ее талантом и умом.

The way she lets the Allemande unfold gradually is so wonderful.

This is more about Nikolayeva than Bach. Fortunately his music is resilient and multifaceted enough to withstand such anachronistic treatment.

It is a totally, fully different approach to this heavenly piece than for e.g. Fazil Say or David Fray jsut to name two iconic Bach pianist of our times whom I love and adore. But what a world unfolds... OhhhmyGod... Too romantic? Too melancholic?? That is the point,... Tatiana's point... Listen! It IS Bach at its best.

В русской пианистической школе было и есть много замечательных пианистов: Рихтер, Файнберг, Алексей Султанов, Соколов, Плетнев, Луганский, Трифонов, Кисин и другие.

Its a different piece when played at this incredibly modest tempo. This is how the notes should be heard. Not finger-blasted through 😒
