You asked what the silver object with a handle was- It's part of a French press for making coffee. It's the plunger part. It pushes the coffee down to the bottom of the glass container of the French press,to separate the coffee from the grounds.

I bought some linens that were stained and a few had bright red embroidery in it. Another was multi coloured with red in as well. I had looked on line for tips and found one I tried and use often now. I filled a clear plastic bin with boiling hot water as suggested! I added Oxie clean, put in table cloths, and put the lid on. It was summer so I followed the outside directions and let them soak in the sun all day and over night as well. The next morning I waited until around 11:00 am, so they could get the morning sunlight, then pulled them from the soak bin and rinsed them in cold water. Checked them right after and all stains were gone and the reds stayed bright red red and no bleeding of any of the colours and the white was even brighter too. I then put them in the washer to rinse again and spin before putting them in the dryer. It didn’t take me any real extra work either. Since I live in Ontario Canada where we have all 4 seasons I sill use the oxie soak in a bin over night but don’t put it outside after September or mid October depending on the weather. I will start doing it outside in the Spring once the temps are in the 70’s and the sun is shinning. I think it works better when it soaks in the sunlight but it still worked in the winter as well. I bought the linens to resell but I kept them because I ended up using them for my picture taking area’s and Whatnot shows to change things up once in a while, Lol I hope this helps. If the stain is super stubborn there are other options as well like different home made paste’s you can try as well. I did have to do a few runners twice with the overnight method but it worked so it was worth the effort.

Grandma’s Secret Spot Remover. I buy it on Amazon and it’s saved me a bundle of money. Especially great when I get something greasy on my tops. Also have used it on my upholstered dining chairs using plenty of water as fabric not removable from chairs. It IS a miracle! I’d suggest the gel rather than the spray as it seems to be more controlled to the spot.

STAIN CLEANING TIP To spot clean stains, I have used an old moistened toothbrush dipped/coated in Powder Cleanser such as Ajax or Comet. Scrub stain then rinse. Some color fabrics can also do well with it, but I'd spot test that first on an inside hem, using a Q-tip.

I know this is an older video, i have cleaned stains out of wedding dresses out with a paste made from ... dawn dish soap, ajax or comet, and peroxide.... test small area first, rub it with a white wash cloth in circular motions, and rinse with clean wet washcloth same way til you have soap mixture out.... press between dry white coths to dry to avoid water circles from cleaned areas.... its time consuming depending on the stain, but worth it in the end...

I've had good luck removing/lightening stains with a paste made of blue detergent (All, Tide, etc.) and a powdered non-chlorine bleach. I let it set for a while, then wash in with a regular load. I can sew short, straight lines and have used "wounded" tablecloths to make cloth gift bags with a coordinating ribbon sewn into the side seams. Using a hemmed edge as the top of the bag reduces sewing to a minimum. I love them for family and for the church bazaar.

I may have a solution for the stain on the table cloth. Years ago my tree skirt colours ran and I thought it was ruined. At that time I was cooking beets, the water turned red of course. I had the idea to soake the tree skirt in the hot water and dye the whole thing red. Lo and behold, the red that ran was gone and all the colors were vibrant. Even the white background was beautiful! Might be worth a try. Merry Christmas!

I picked up some beautiful handmade, handcrafted, ornaments: beaded; lovely paper-thin glass and a couple of Silvestri spun glass, the week before last at one of my local thrift stores. I was gobsmacked at how lovely they are. These were stuffed in those awful plastic bags but only 1 was broken and there were a few little scratches on them. But overall they were in pretty good shape. There’s some I will keep and some I may sell now or later. In the same trip I came across a set of 4 frosted glass hopping deer small tapered candle holders by Williams Sonoma. So pretty and still in the box. I’m sure they’ll sell either now or next Christmas! It can pay to do some checking right before or right after Christmas. Hope you had a great New Year’s celebration and that you and the fam will have a wonderful 2024!

For the tablecloth, you could try a stain remover spray just incase.
    If that does not work,
I would take the tablecloth to the dry cleaner.
You are often out & about, there must be a dry cleaner around.
I know it costs but those stains are usually very difficult to remove.
If the dry cleaner says they won't be able to remove the stain then it's a keeper for 3 bucks.
If they say they can remover it, you could pay the cost, & when you sell the item, you can say the beautiful cloth was treated at the dry cleaner and that cost will be included in the selling price. It is such a pretty tablecloth and someone will love it, & understand. Good luck. 🍀

a couple of ideas treat the area with shampoo let sit 10 to 15 min then rinse an launder per care instructions, this works best for oily stains 2) apply hydrogen peroxide with a cotton swab to stain let sit 5 to 10 minutes then rinse and allow to dry in direct sun, this works best on protein stains 3) make a pastes of oxiclean and shampoo work it in to the stained area let sit up to 30 minutes.and rinse and as a last resort tea dye the whole table cloth in a mottled manner to blend in the stain

If the stain is protein, spray hydrogen peroxide (with a white cloth underneath to catch the stain) let set and should come out, sometimes I have to rub a little with a white cloth and then respray several times.

I would use vinegar and baking soda to try to remove that stain, when you rub/scrub stains, go from outer edge towards the center.

Re: Christmas tablecloth stain. My gf and I used to buy every Damask cloth and napkins we could find and almost all had nasty stains. First soak the stain in Dawn in hot water for several hours. What we used for stubborn stains that work 100% was spray oven cleaner. If your stain doesn't incorporate any of the patterns on the front, go for it: otherwise, if you can get Amway's Smashing White soak as instructed.
