We camped at wildcat springs last year a COUPLE of times. Clean campground. Space amenities due to the pandemic, but still yet, a lovely place! We played in the creek there and found loads of geodes.
Have a buddy in Keokuk, went there couple of weeks ago, they are just laying around, found fifteen in a half an hour, cracked open a small one and found a small chunk of rose quartz, it was sticking up out if a bed of white quartz like someone just set it there
awesome video. am currently planning a day trip for me and my son, hubby might drive us. Saw McKee Creek, is there public access? We are hoping to try out geode hunting once.
@@trentstigall3463 hi Trent. We are rockhounds from mn. Will you share any good geode hunting areas? Road markers? Creeks? Were going south soon to ron colemans mine area We spend most our our time outdoors. Hope you get this.
@@tamimotz1325 one of the best places I’v found is McGee Creek. It is about 40 miles east of Quincy IL at the junction of IL Hyws 104 and 107. You can park at the bridge on 107 and work the creek westward. I have found many buckets full lying in the creekbed
