  • In preparation of his seventh studio album released earlier this year, Philadelphia singer-songwriter Amos Lee worked with nonprofit organizations Musicians On Call and Melodic Caring Project to play music bedside to hospital patients battling serious illnesses. The experience deeply affected him and inspired the new album, "My New Moon." But this is not a somber exercise; Lee gives each song a rocking, dignified treatment.

Amos Lee you are a beautiful human. If your music could seep into the hearts of all of humanity we would be in a better place. I had tickets to see you many years ago when you were a budding flower. Probably when you still didn't know the power of your words, your mesmerizing voice and accompanying guitar. At the wee Port Theatre, in the wee seaside town of Nanaimo BC Canada. My home town. But I got stuck in an Arctic bush camp, with planes downed due to bad weather, and no way to make it. I spread the love and gave my tickets to my high school sweetheart and his wife. And now you have two more devotees. You capture the fucked up in all of us... but embrace it all as the only way. We all muddle on . You shine bright and help us all thru this crazy path of being human. I sat with my mother as she took her last breath. It was more than profound. And i pondered on this mother daughter bond, something so mysteriously all powerful. Was this unique to women? It was validating and comforting to hear of your journey with your grandma Much love to you . Keep the no hit wonders coming! ❤❤

So many of Amos Lee’s songs have given me so much comfort. It’s frustrating that I don’t have the words to express what he has given to me over the years. He is getting me through this thing called Life. So, Thank You, Amos Lee, from the bottom of my soul.

Any new stuff from this guy? He is one of my BIGGEST, BIGGEST influences in my music. One of the only artists where I replay certain vocals over and over to hear what he's doing!

"I Like Prine a lot and i like Bill Withers a lot" just found it sad that the 2 guys that came to mind for him as musical heroes both passed away not 2 long ago
