I miss being a kid and having the energy to not only build these little homemade parks… but I miss the energy of playing in the park for hours and hours and hours
This is awesome! I am going to start skiing and this is such a cool way to expose the sport! I live in Arizona, but we still have some areas that accrue snow! Thanks for sharing guys~
@@winniethepooch3394 it looks like these kids actually just made giant piles of snow but if you want to know how to do this 10x faster I can tell you. I build jumps WAY bigger than this in the backcountry and usually I’m able to do it within a day. All you need is the right snow conditions and there’s two things you can do. If you’re up in the mountains it’s likely there’s a ton of snow so dig yourself into a big hole and use a saw to cut large bricks of snow out from around you, you can then use those bricks to build a jump and then you just need to pack a tiny amount of snow on top of them to make it smooth, if you’re not in the mountains the fastest way to do it is snowballs, roll a ton of snowballs and stack them to form a jump and then do the same thing as you would in the mountains, simply fill in the gaps with snow so it’s smooth. Use a rake to help form ramps, not a snowboard, (almost no snowboards have a flat base, either rocker, camber, or some combination of the two but rarely flat) it will be nearly impossible to get it perfectly smooth and each carve you put in it will essentially ruin the face of the jump and you’ll have to redo it every time (if your actually trying big tricks) but a rake, if used correctly, can make everything perfectly smooth and will provide the exact same groomed feel you’ll find at a resort terrain park. You’ll be able to carve into spins but you’ll do less damage to the face of your jump. Also when you leave it overnight and the jump ices up just bring that rake back out and re groom, they typically feel better after they’ve been iced over and re-groomed.
Sic! Did this as kid in backyard also (I'm old 50 now, lol). It's how gold medal snowboarder Red Garrett practiced although his backyard was a hill of sorts and homemade rope tow. Saw them kids back in 2012 out in yard, who would have know he'd win a gold from backyard. You kids need a trip out to summit Colorado, heck I'd drive you by Red's house, from midwest made it to Colorado and live near resorts now.
Gerard, also they built that park in 14/15 wasn't made public till 2016, and most people at his level grow up with access to similar situations, he practiced there but trained daily at a mountain. That be like saying a gold medal swimmer won from training in his inflatable pool.
Good job guys. It gives me hope not all youngsters are lazy phone addicts. We use to do that back in the days. Shovels and a bunch of determined dudes. Working hard is the way to be successful. 👍⚒️😎
This is really insane. If you boys including more skiing/talking head stuff in your editing. Instead of so many intros n’stuff the RUclips algorithm would love you way more and you could easily hit 1 million views and tens of thousands of subscribers, if you kids listen too my advice you literally don’t need to get a job when you’re older and make RUclips your full time source of income
this is awesome! Where is it? Hope the snow hasn't melted just yet!
Have fun, Paddy
It's in Wisconsin. There will hopefully be enough snow left to ski in early April.
You go inside right now and give your parents a big hug and thank you. My parents would never let me do this in a million years . Awesome setup
lol why?
Yeah why not?
@@pieter490 because not everyone wishes to have a snow mountain in front of their house, maybe?
@@smigoltime oh damn. that kind of people exists?
@@x3Cay My guess is that most people wouldn't want that in front of their door lmao
That is literally the coolest thing I have ever seen in someone’s yard
It's awesome the commitment to harvesting the snow from the neighbors. What a masterpiece. A+ work
If I had this in my yard I would not go to sleep and would be on this thing with my friends 24/7
Bring me back to when me and my buddy would do this with our snowboards… looks like a blast!
Sick setup!
Also - your delivery guys must love you.. that walk to the front door...
Homie needs a rail

You guys ought to start a terrain park contracting business someday! You have awesome vision.

This is absolutely bonkers and I love it! Amazing!
That's how u enjoy lots of snow,cool
Hey in spring u guys need to dig a hole in the front yard for a pond 🤣👍u will have the water
Yeah, maybe if we have a warm day we could do a pond skim.
@@SkiaBois rip grass though lol
I used to do stuff like that down my driveway which is on a decent slope when I was a kid. That appears to be your front yard sirs!
Absolutely awesome!
this is awesome!!! used to do this stuff all the time
That’s so cool! Right on guys!!!
10 seconds in and you are my hero
This is a masterpiece, how did you build it

so good guys! Massive A for the commitment, also Sams' outro got me smilin hehe, thanks yt for recommending it after almost a year😄
Should throw a pvc rail on the little jump. Looks like u boys don’t use it that much! Practice rail game too. Sick ass set up!!
Now get a hand rail or flat bar
Even a hubba would b sick
This has so much potential, hope to see more🤷♂️
Exellent work dudes!

That is huge
this is dope asf my parents would never let me in the front yard
Now this is what I am talking about!
That’s sick 🔥
Super cool bois!!!
Love it!!
180s on slalom skis are the sketchiest thing i've seen in a while
Dope
I love this
This is awesome!
i have never been more jealous in my entire life,
Did you need machinery to move around all the snow?
It was done almost entirely by hand, but we did use a snowblower to help get the snow on top when it wasn’t as tall.
This is so cool!
Здорово!
I wish I was there to ski
You should build a mini ramp one so you can just keep going
When it melted, did it flood your basement?
that is a serious amount of snow
Holy crap this is dope! Where in Wisconsin? I live on the west side and get barely any snow 😢 but I’ve always wanted to do this
Great job guys keep up the good work youre all going far in life
So sick boys
Hahhahahahahhaha you guys are fuking legends. Never seen something like this 😍😍😍😍
Strong
this makes my setup look weak! so cool though
How did u get that snow 😳😫😫
How did you build it up so high?
Okay Mom and Dad,... buy these kids a seasons pass already!
No sprinklers this year honey!

the Anderson's roof!
you need to widen it out into the neighbours backyards. leave them no choice !
Gnarly
isn't this front yard lol
Shush
My dreams
time for a rail boys
my city would fine us if we did this
It’s a story tall!
You should have added a rail
So which one of us is going to tell these dudes that the effort greatly outweighed the reward??
Depends who you ask
How tall is it

Anyone know who to do this with 2 inches of snow…..
How does this have so little views
I’m so jelious
Sooo much work for such a tiny tiny jump. Invest in a winch
More like front yard park
Love you guys! (Not in a gay way)
It would be 1 million times better with a rail
🤣😆
60k pounds of snow
Why did I watch this....

GGOD SHIT
You could go bigger tho🤷🏾♂️

cool, but ur bad at skying
Cool, but you're bad at spelling. Plus, have you ever even been skiing? There're pretty good.
